That was odd, but they may just have misunderstood each other. I think she meant starting off somewhat shallow, not going too deep right away, while he took that as being shallow forever. It's the only thing that would make sense to me with that situation.

@@sylverscale Maybe. I saw it as her not being able to handle the rejection, so she jumped to feeling victimized instead of seeing it as him being open about not being on the same page as her. That's the only way it makes sense to me.

Not only she made the wedding just about herself (by not letting him dress how he wanted), she waited until the very last moment, made him think she was going to say yes by saying how nice he is and how much she loves him just to publicly humiliate him and then act as if he had it coming. Girl... that was not the empowered moment you and your friends thought it was.

It's almost like she WANTED him to be abusive towards her so they wouldn't go through with the wedding and she'd be considered brave for standing up to him or something. Honestly I feel like Cole came out of the series way better than her. And maybe it’s the series making her look terrible. But it also doesn’t look good when you come off as selfish, arrogant and emotionally unavailable. And even the fact that she’s tried to throw pretty slanderous accusations at him afterwards is really unfair. But, it says more about her that she keeps trying to hurt him afterward. I mean if you look at the clementine drama. All he said was you’re eating two oranges remember we’re eating a large dinner later. She tries to spin that as him trying to control her eating which is a colossal fucking reach. Also you don’t say that kind of thing unless you’re trying to hurt somebody’s reputation.

As a girl- Zanab is definitely more at fault than Cole. Maybe it’s bc I identify more with Cole- I have issues reading social situations and do accidentally say the wrong thing at the wrong time and seem to have no filter because of it- but everything Cole did seemed to be either genuinely on accident or not out of a place of malice. Everything Zanab did was out of malice and passive aggression it seems. Also I’m editing this to add: Cole is in therapy now. My bio dad was a lot like Zay where it was walking on eggshells, gaslighting, manipulating and lying. It traumatizes you. I apologize frequently. I take the blame a lot of the time. If someone is in a bad mood I assume it’s my fault. I feel so bad for Cole. What Zay did goes deeper than people realize.

This! Some of the things Cole said was very rude and disrespectful but not only did he apologize multiple times for it but it just didn't seem like he was trying to be purposely hurtful. Even finding faults when he was trying to change.

@sydneyhuff6976
@sydneyhuff6976 Жыл бұрын
@@indigo3896 I disagree. “no filter” to me, means a tendency to blurt out things without thinking. I always apologize if I say something that affects someone negatively, but like, blurting out something without a filter isn’t the same as just saying hurtful shit and then blaming it on that. That’s the same as those people who say they are “brutally honest” and really just want an excuse to be an asshole. Like an example of what I mean is making a joke at an inappropriate time bc I read the situation wrong and blurted one out bc I was uncomfortable. Or if someone mentions something like ducks and jumping on a tangent about the mating habits of the ducks. Maybe no filter is the wrong wording but that’s what I mean when I say it, not like saying hurtful shit and then blaming it on no filter! But I get what you mean, people honestly suck sometimes and will use any excuse to not apologize.

Zay on the other hand has barely ever taken any accountability for her shittyness. Relationships are built and broken on how much genuine effort both partners are willing to give. Zeinab literally gives me the vibe that she got rejected multiple times in her life by pretty boys like Cole so she decided to act out her revenge solely on him. She was so insecure and passive agressive throughout the whole show it drove me nuts. And thats not to say that Cole is without his defects, he's definetly a bit of a manchild and a little immature but damn he did not deserve to be treated and spoke to in the way that she did... Especially in the reunion that was REALLY out of pocket how they all ganged up on him especially when the producers proved to the audience at the end of the episode that Z was plain lying through her teeth.... That bit when Collen's tried to get offended because Cole said he didn't want a shallow relationship was so bizarre to me. She literally said she prefers shallow and superficial connections and he said he didn't want a shallow RELATIONSHIP. He didn't say anything about her being shallow so I'm so confused as to why she left the room crying and telling the other girls that he called her shallow. That was so dumb. And with Cole and Zanab, yeah Cole was a bit immature in the beginning but he really tried. It seems like he really tried to do some self-reflecting on his actions. But Zanab, this is woman was ridiculous. That kitchen scene when Cole was trying to cook for her was hard to watch. She really ruined the entire moment! @1:31:27 Honestly this moment was kind of triggering for me. When Cole told her how he was so in love with her and she just avoided reciprocating it. That was SO telling that she had made up her mind that she was going to dump him at the altar. It's also possible she was trying to push him away by denying him the choice of his wedding attire. This is probably just me projecting and needing to keep this between me and my therapist, but this frighteningly reminds me of when my ex broke it off with me. She spent the last month avoiding me while we lived in the same house, and only ever quietly mumbled "I love you too" when I told her I loved her. A couple weeks before she broke it off she would just remain silent. We were trying to find a new apartment, and she kept telling me "why don't we wait and see if things open up closer to our lease ending?" when in reality she was lying because she had already gotten her own place to live. She sat me down one day and said we were breaking up, told me she had a place for a few weeks and asked me to leave the apartment for the weekend so I wouldn't be there when she moved out. Again, probably a gross overshare, but I saw that in this episode. This thing felt pretty pre-meditated, she made up her mind long before the wedding. It felt like she made active decisions to push him away prior to the wedding day. I call bullshit on her saying she didn't know she was going to do it before that day.

When you just met someone for the first time, all you have to go off is physical attraction and Cole was obviously somewhere else with his thoughts. But instead of her realizing this, she harbored these feelings of resentment and grew more and more bitter. I believe she only stayed with him to the end so she could have her revenge, even if she didn't plan this out consciously. The scariest thing about this was when Leo said “Love is Blind has a 0% success rate” and I thought something happened to Lauren and Cameron 😭

love is blind as a concept is pretty neat but the execution of it in this tv show is the literal worst execution i have ever witnessed. this needs to be a study, not a dating competition.

So after a year and a half, my ex-wife ambushed me at my friend's funeral. Telling me I had six months to propose because she was "the perfect woman and an amazing catch," her and her family pressured me to propose. I did, and after 6 months of hell and abuse, she admitted to cheating on me with numerous guys for the entirety of our marriage. Listening to zanab at the table with Cole made me think of that. Side note: ex-wife was bi polar, acted just like this, I think he question was warranted.

@PhoenixRoseYT right? I had Christmas with just my sons, mom, and boyfriend. A quarter of my family would be a huge amount haha.

I love how Leo's impression of Matt slowly turns into Boomhauer over the course of the video

I really enjoyed your commentary & thoughts on this relationship. Your video gave me a totally different perspective-a kinder approach towards each person & their unique needs…I’m able to see Cole in a new light. Also, I laughed like I hadn’t in a long time because of your humor, so thank you! (Your “Matt” was very accurate!) 😂😅

Pains me everytime Cole says something sweet and she gives literally nothing back too... Girl I was engaged to did the same to me and well, she cheated on me, hardened me up alot in my naïve youth lol. Real shame, positive affirmation is pretty necessary in a relationship, cant expect compliments, to be the only girl in the world, and nonstop showered with affection when you cant even do it back in the slightest. She's also years older than him, treats him like total garbage, does a move in public, then plays victim like he's some abusive partner.... How you could even stomach watching the things she did prior and say Cole did wrong things actually blows my mind because I cant imagine how she was with the cameras off, hes guilty of stuff, but she's a monster.

I would rather be alone than to be with Z by my side. If I had to choose between marrying her and living alone on the moon I would choose the moon.

I really hope Cole finds someone who will actually care for him. Who will actually have fun with him and laugh and join him when he wants to do something childish like playing with nerf guns. But also be someone who talks with him seriously. And actually sees his side of things. Because I genuinely believe he deserves that. Yes maybe he was a jerk at first but he really tried to be better and he did become better. He needs someone who will appreciate him, not like Zaynab who nitpicked a lot of what he did.

I'd be surprised if she ever gets married. Sure he has some issues, but she emotionally manipulated him and then completely hung him out to dry and destroyed his mental well being in front of a bunch of people and wrecked his emotional security. She's doing it for the attention and to make another person suffer, which is pretty evil.

You want a superficial woman from a show, you got it. A red flag is a red flag, and the first one would be the show in general. If within the first stages of attempting the relationship aquires drama for you to work through, how do you build from that? What kind of foundation is that? Love your videos Leo! 🖤🖤🖤
