Girlfriend of missing boy's dad charged after body found

Theresa Balboa, the girlfriend of Samuel Olson's father, has been charged with tampering with evidence after a body believed to be the missing 5-year-old boy was found in a motel room in Jasper, Texas. The investigation into Samuel's disappearance took a troubling turn when it was discovered that he hadn't been seen at Cy-Fair ISD's Holbrook Elementary School since April 30, several weeks before he was reported missing.

I work in ER. I’m so broken with the amount of child abuse I see coming through as trauma. I am at the point where I want to throttle the parents, the step-parents, the boy/girl friends who come in with their lies and crocodile tears. I have chosen to quit nursing all together and return to University in an entirely different field. My heart is completely broken now. If mom goes against the pre existing court order allowing child to be with dad every other weekend, he can sick the oinkers on her , for contempt of court. Oinkers refused a protective order request. She told child services and all her counselors. Yeah she already recieves counesing because her dad trains dogs for a living and he abuses them. Just lastnight she was texting mom "Hes kicking the dogs again" "Im on lockdown" meaning her body shuts her down so she is unable to TALK, from the trauma of when that happens (when hes beating the dogs) Her dad gets abusive and yells at her to speak but she cant speak. Even her pediatrician wrote a prescription (No dad) but the child services worker went around to all the authority figures telling them mom was making it up and it didnt happen. This child is NOT lying! She is going on 11. And oinky station told the mom that sorry but its her (the childs)word against his ,since she is under 18 she has no say so shes being forced by child services and the oinkys to go to her dads and no one is helping her ! The mom is feeling like killing herself because od being under so much injustice right now being unable to protect her own child. If she goes on the run with the child, or does anything outside court order, she goes to jail. She was told to take it to custody court. Shes been on unemployment since ro ro job loss last year, and her unimploymemt has been two months late. She cant afford to take the childs dad back to court. Shes pretty much broke. What angers me is no one in the family but me wants to help. I have to be careful what I do, too. I cant go get rid of the guy FOR her KWIM, or Ill go to prison for life myself, and leave behind my own kids to be raises by THEIR incompetent dad. :-( Its such a difficult situation wanting to help and having hands tied, legally as well all because SAVING the child would would get me life in prison but doing nothing will allow her to be in that situation. Imagine being the parent in that situation. This same person, a month prior , the neighbor murdered their dog , texted and called her to tell her what he did etc... Same response.... oinkys and animal control saying without proof nothing can be done, because they are refusing the texts and call recording as evidence to even charge the neighbor. Oh and the neighbor who did this is a convicted pedo, whos victim already committed suicide as an adult, because she was molested by him as a child AND her own sibling has been missing for years (her family suspects him). The people in authority are blatently covering up these things and allowing these people to get away with it. Only when the child turns up dead, does anyone all the sudden do anything. Its so obvious they( authority figures/oinkys/child services) dont care about children.

Parents please do not move your new boyfriend or girlfriend in. No matter how wonderful they seem. Monsters don't wear ID tags. Your children should be the most prized, most valuable, most important part of your life. Would you leave your phone or debit card with someone? Then don't leave your child with them. Stop sleeping with strangers. Treat yourself and your children with the respect, value and importance they deserve. If you can't care for your child properly the very least you can do is place them with a responsible, kind, safe caregiver. Don't just leave them with anyone. We have to do better as a community.
