Man it is so hard to believe that the Z-Fighters did not communicate with each other about Cell's regeneration ability. You would think they would have came up with a plan to try to combat it.

His regeneration ability is better than Piccolo's. Piccolo can regenerate only if his head is intact. This attack would kill Piccolo. Cell is using all things he got from Z-fighters better including the regeneration ability.

Ah, yes, the turning point! Also, I'm not sure if anyone caught it, but notice which characters were the last to react to Goku conceding the fight to Cell: Piccolo, Chi-Chi, Ox King, Bulma, and Master Roshi. It's basically a direct homage to Dragon Ball when you think about it in that sense, and I love it, as subtle as it is.

I had the same feeling as Madison, when they let Cell re-regenerate. I mean I get it its a 1-1 combat, but Cell already destroyed the fighting stage, he was already on the ground half of his body missing. At this point they could just act like Goku won the battle, and together charge on the body with everything they got. Instead all of them just standing there letting it happen was a bit annoying.

Hmmm, 🙄 I've watched DBZ several times, but it just now occurred to me that here, by absorbing Android 17, Cell was able to create a barrier against Goku's attacks, because if we go back, something similar was used by Android 17 during fights with Piccolo

I wish Cells regeneration ability was the worst part about Cell. But unfortunately people forget that Cell has Saiyan DNA in his cell structure. Which can only mean one thing. Zenkai boost.

The zenkai boosts are utterly stupid and a terrible writing choice especially for this saga. Why did none of Cell's other regenerations ever result in any stupid zenkai boost? The only reason it even happens in the first place was so that Cell was actually more of threat after blowing himself up otherwise Gohan would beat him easily again.

One thing you and I can relate to Baris,.. this is Dragonball Z. Things prolongs in these episodes and then there's the suspense of the animations. Nothing's going to happen at that precise moment when foes like Cell are down at that point and someone with the advantage to take them out. All battles in these episodes drag until they actually finish one or the other off.

The funny thing is Cell could’ve been taken down easier if Goku had dropped his pride and taken the sensu bean. Or if Goku and Gohan teamed up against him, they probably could’ve worn him out and take him down. I love this show but it always frustrated when the fighters are too proud to win the easiest way possible when lives are at stake.

Probably the shock of it all was Vegeta acutally singing Goku’s praises. Yeah as much as he hates Goku keeps one upping him in strength he still in his own way believes Goku is the best of not only the Z-Fighters but of the Saiyans. So it was a genuine shock to him as Goku surrenders to Cell it goes against the Saiyan principles of giving your all in fighting.

Yha i find it funny people in dragon ball tend to forget the enemies has special powers like regeneration. Yha this series still does it justice and this episode came out like in the early 90's to and still looks great today. Like i miss the actual realism in the animation of the bodies like you can see the muscles and everything. Not like now animations in anime its all plastic looking or to smooth. Yes she finally realize the down side of the saiyans like wanting to become a super saiyan in real life is awesome but like everything else everything has a down side and the saiyans downside is the mind set. As they get stronger and stronger their goal and mind set will start to change like as you noticed goku likes to do things on he's own now like vegeta does and also waits for he's enemies to always try harder so the saiyans can get stronger as that's how they get strong. I also think the issue hear is vegeta telling everyone how great the super saiyan levels are and nobody can match them. But down the line some of them do change their habits during the cell saga and the next saga and realize the legend of the super saiyan isn't all that it all depends on the person and how they use the saiyan abilities.
