MAJOR PROBLEMS with my 2004 NEW EDGE MUSTANG GT MODIFICATIONS

Having some issues installing the new clutch! I bought a new clutch, throwout bearing, rear main seal, and a shift cable. Much more modifications coming with all my Mustangs. I have a 1992 Fox Body and a 1995 sn95.

Cody, you're a super good dude. It's guys like you who help people out that are new and have a new passion for their cars that might not know much yet. I met a old friend of mine that did the same your doing with her, with me. That was 18 years ago on my SVT lightning. Today I'm doing 70% of the work myself on my mustang because of what I learned from him helping me. Thank you gear heads that gave up your time to work on vehicles that aren't yours so we can save money and buy more go fast parts and mod our cars.

Just did some work myself in my 03 SN95, new performance distributor, live wire performance sparkplug wires, and some platinum NGK sparkplugs. Brought her back to life! Love your car by the way👍

Interesting trick with the bread. I just cheated and bought a puller. Having multiple manual cars and friends who have manuals, seemed to make sense to buy one. Always nice to have access to a lift. Now comes the fun part of putting it everything back together.

So a peace of driving advice for all. So you had some clutch material left but the throw out bearing went bad. Most of the time the clutch wears out first. A big mistake some people do is when your sitting a light they push and hold the clutch pedal down the whole time. So the throw out bearing is engaged and spinning the whole time. It will greatly shorten the life of that bearing. Just a FYI. Looks like you have a good teacher.

Looks like a 65 fastback, 2+2 was to signify it was a fastback as opposed to a coupe. Probably a 289, would look nice with a restoration. I will follow his channel, he has a nice garage. Good luck with the clutch install, regards from Huntingtown.🙂

Just goes to show sometimes look how much work you have to do before getting to the part that you have to fix that's why it's great that he said to change any seals the clutch but not always because the clutch can be new that was the case with my Mustang my Mustang was only 6 months old when my throwout bearing went bad but great job you did

Been working on cars almost all my life and it’s always makes me feel good once I get the job done and the vehicle is running perfectly again! You can also use bread in construction when doing Plumbing sometimes when you try to solder a pipe if there's any water inside that pipe you cannot solder it so they'll take bread and put it inside the pipe and it will stop the water allowing you to solder the pipe so Brad has a few functions besides a sandwich just a piece of advice

I was a little worried when "major problem" was in your title. No problems here. You didn't snap off a bolt or break anything. Things are going smoothly. Just be ready for the first time that a simple 3 hour job becomes a 7 hour struggle. It happens. It is just part of the hobby. You're doing great!

Big props to Cody for helping you out. While you’re at it, do a cat delete. Delete the 2 front cats and leave the 2 rear cats that way you’ll reduce restriction and gain some power

I have a Vortech Blower JT/V7 I just removed for my 2000 gt that is for sale for everything a 8 rib pulleys, blower, blower bracket, injectors, intercooler and piping, vortech mondo blow off and meth kit 4500. Just for blower and intercooler 3500 Aje kmember also with the arms and springs for 550 if your interested. And keep up the good work.

Hi,it would be a perfect time to replace the stock shifter with a short throw shifter while you have the old shifter out that is if the previous owner hadn’t already put a short throw in the car! I replaced mine and it really made a big difference in the way the transmission shifts! Just a suggestion of something really good to do to your car while it’s apart! Hope everything goes well!

I had a 89 LX notch 5spd with south side bars, 4.10 gears, bolt-ons, and it ran high 12s! Put one of the first paxston supercharger hits on it with 8lbs boost and a b303 motorsport cam and it ran 11s. Those were the good ole days!
