Let's be honest. He has an understanding of she is doing. It should feel comfortable to have all that off. From what I have observed in videos like this. Animals that have a ton of hair. Do want humans to shave them. Once they feel the difference on their body.

@@silencz1Did you not listen to the video? The owner tried to get him groomed but couldn’t. I’m pretty sure you have no idea what it’s like to be in a position where you have financial hardship, but it’s not easy. It was even hard for my family to get our dog to the vet for checkups because they couldn’t afford an $80 vet bill. Not everyone has it easy to where they can afford these things. That doesn’t mean the dog isn’t loved. If the owner didn’t care about the dog, they wouldn’t have even tried to find a groomer to do their fur. Let’s not be so judgemental.

Thank you for donating your services to help this dog and his owner. I owned a standard poodle so I understand how expensive upkeep can be. One day when I was in the vet waiting room, I saw a poorly dressed elderly woman enter with a poorly groomed dog. After they were led to the consulting room, I told the vet that I would pay her bill, - regardless of cost. God has blessed me. The look on that old lady's face when she came out to pay her bill and learned that an anonymous donor had paid her bill, - was priceless 🙂. We can all do acts of kindness for each other. Pass it on.

He was a very well behaved boy. And I'm so glad Vanessa helped this dog and his person. And she did it without judging them. I know The one true GOD sees, hears and knows all. And I truly believe because Vanessa helped this person and dog in need, without judging them, she'll be truly blessed. Some people haven't experienced trauma and deep dark depression, that takes all your energy away. Where you don't even have energy to brush your own hair, let alone someone else's hair. Some people are so fortunate that they don't know what it's like to be in so much pain that it hurts to move. Some people don't know what it feels like to have absolutely no energy or strength to even take a shower without being exhausted for a whole week after taking that one shower; because their body is fighting off a dis-ease. I do know how it feels. It ain't no fun. And those who don't know what it feels like are so quick to judge others. Some people truly cannot grasp an understanding until they themselves experience it. Proverbs 29:23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor. Something I learned some time ago, humble yourself or life will do it for you.

we can all certainly fall on hard times, but we should never let that affect a living creature in our care. I would've hand scissored this dog and had him look ridiculous with a home haircut before allowing him to get as bad as this. financial hardship is no excuse to let an animal suffer. the teeth of this dog also didn't look great. I'm glad Falkor is shaved down and I also hope his owner is doing better. at least with a full shave it'll be a few weeks until the next appointment is needed. Falkor's temperament is a testament he must have a patient and loving owner, and I hope said owner can reciprocate that love by continuing care for Falkor.

Golden retrievers are generally so very well behaved and poodles are well behaved as well. A golden and a poodle is of course different than a Labrador and poodle, but even with this mix, labs just aren’t aggressive either. Poodles, Goldens, and labs are not aggressive or difficult dogs. Why would you find them difficult? I'm just curious. My mom was a groomer, and she loved these dogs because they were so sweet, but of course they are a lot of work. Another popular mix is the aussie labradoodle, which for anyone who doesn't know, is a labrador, poodle and cocker spaniel. The cocker spaniel was added to make the dog smaller. A cocker in the mix does make for a higher possibility of potential aggression. Cocker spaniels have a higher bite rate than people may expect. My mom preferred the Golden doodles and labradoodles to the aussie Labradoodles even though the aussie is smaller, because they can be feisty even when they've been groomed regularly. Many Cockers have no Issues showing you their teeth when they don't like something. And they're not bluffing. They will snap or outright bite. The other issue with the cocker is they are no warning biters. They will suddenly bite hard with no warning whatsoever which is of course dangerous for a groomer. Cockers are notorious for this trait. I've never liked cocker spaniels for this reason.

@@mygirldarby look up issues with doodles, a lot of them have behavioral issues and coat issues from being misadvertised and backyard bred, so a lot of groomers refuse to work with them

@@mygirldarby have an Aussiedoodle from a rescue. Her Embark DNA mix is Australian Shepherd and standard poodle, she weighs 40 pounds. (The rescue where she came from had a cocker/poodle mix. They called him a cockapoo. He was closer to 30 pounds.) The Aussiedoodle mix is generally a very high energy dog, I figure that was why she ended up in a rescue. That and being somewhat high maintenance with that blended coat. The mix of wavy double coated fur, and curly poodle hair can lead to heavy matting and requires fairly frequent brushing & consistent grooming.

When you finished the first clip, he looked like a dog who had just taken off a sheep costume. He was so calm and quiet, too. He looked so relieved when that fleece fell away!

Thank you for caring for this dog. I’m sorry his owner is going through hard times. I’m sure he felt bad about the condition of his pet. I’m sure the dog felt so much better after the grooming.

What an incredibly good boy! Doodles are such a frustrating breed, mostly because breeders I don't feel are very honest about the upkeep. They were advertised as easy pups, and groomers, like you've said, turn them away. Thanks for being so kind to all parties involved. Never thought I'd watch dog grooming videos, but you're so educational, and embody empathy and kindness... even if you teach through the continuous hum of clippers.

I've always had pound puppies or second hand dogs... large ones. Now I ambover 50, and have had some smaller and or short haired dogs, and de idea that is what I want. I have always groomed them myself and big furry ones are too much. My short haired chi is the easiest to groom I've ever had. Just another reason to love the fun-sized cuddler

Although the owner fell on hard times, can we appreciate that Falcor looked well fed and flea free. This shows the owner did all he could under his circumstances. Thank you Vanessa. 😊

@@lideabarker8161 You know, sometimes buying food, paying for vet bills, and paying for medication are more important than buying a brush. If you're desperate you could try human items, but it doesn't always work. I've been there. You do what you can when hard times strike without warning.

As someone who has an Aussie I can honestly say even though he's brushed almost Dailey he still cost $110+ to be groomed my boys been shaven twice because of that fact, when you HAVE to choose between a healthy dog aka vet bills or a well groomed dog, its much easier to choose a live dog. I think it's easy to judge other people, when you have no idea what's happening in their life.

@@perkuu6937 I have 6 dogs and I take care of their grooming needs myself. I have all short haired dogs but they get their baths and brushings right here at home. Clippers are not all that expensive either compared the cost of a groomer, no offense to groomers, but if you can't afford one you can do it yourself. It may not look as good when you're done but at least the dog will feel better.

What a wonderful dog and transformation! His sound when you toweled him is the same as my beloved dog used to do. He reminds a lot of her with his glace, 'smile' (which is from pain or being irritated/sore if I got it right) and the paw thing. My sweetie was an dogo argentino mix. Kindest love and soul. This boy was fantastic (as were you) and even tho he probably had problem due to obesity he never made a sound or anything bad. Thank you for all your compassion, wisdome and hard work!
