Dinosaurs are my favourite. However I must say, from experience, I played Gishath many times. Honestly even with ramp it is very difficult to bring him out quickly, and when you finally do it it is very easily removed by opponents or countered as everyone is aware of the danger it presents. I personally switched him in the 99 and as commander I am playing Atla Palani as it is more cheap and the mechanic of eggs is so cool and fitting for dinosaurs that I had most fun of it, also when you cast Gishath from the hand, it is more difficult to counter because most players forget that I even have it in my deck, so they do not often have counters to it, because when he was my commander most of the time everyone was saving at least one counter for it for when I cast it. Anyways that is my experience, but everyone should play what they feel comfortable.

So I instantly ran out and bought this deck mostly with singles from my lgs to help keep the lights on. It did cost me a bit more than 25.00 then I did all the recommended upgrades. First play threw with some high end decks this deck went off like a champ got my commander gave double strike bam 10 more dino's on the board definitely a blast. 2 and game the table cought on and stalled out a bit. I think I will begin by speeding up the manna base. Definitely a fun deck to play.

Gishath was my first commander deck when I started playing last year! Teemur Battle Rage is a cheap combat trick that can make your dinos hit harder, and Pyrohemia is great for enrage triggers

As my first commander deck I ever played being Gisath, I am so thankful for this video! My eeck has been in massive need of an upgrade and this will give me plenty of ideas. One card I think works well for this deck is Xenagos, God of Revels. He can make Gisath even more terrifying by giving him +X/+X at the beginning of each combat, where X is that creatures power

A little update after buying this deck, I've made some upgrades (Wayward Swordtooth, Heroic intervention, Boros/Naya charm, Ripjaw Raptor, etc) but even out of the box this deck was super fun to play! It never felt like I was at a disadvantage in my playgroup, and I've even pulled out some pretty decisive victories! Very fun and effective starting point, and dinos will ALWAYS be cool

I like you how include every budget fetch land you can find. You're fixing your mana and filtering your deck for when Gishath hits. The impact of these cards are more subtle, but can lead to big things. Also if territorial allosaurus comes into play off Gishath are you able to kick it or does it just enter the battlefield?

I’ve got a Gishath edh very similar to this I made ages ago, recently tweaked it with newer cards and can honestly say Proud Wildbonder from Ikoria is a great addition! You’re basically guaranteed the 7 damage to your opponent!

I've made a decent number of changes since I made that list, mostly cutting dinosaurs that were just in the deck because they said dinosaur. I focused more on the turbo-ramp package instead with the idea that if I can cast gishath repeatedly that's enough to win, and also included a couple of extra-combat spells that I picked up (but they're not very budget if that's a priority). I'm not certain why you're looking to get it to 60 seeing as commander is 100 cards? @@saucyToes Nah, every new expansion might come with one or two dinosaurs max like Thrasta from modern horizons or The Tarrasque from D&D. Best thing to do is buy them individually, although you might get lucky with an Ixalan or Rivals pack...

Great list for a meta frowning on infinite combos; smashy tribal! A great upgrade is Polyraptor and Boros Charm. If you have that plus the Forerunner of the Empire you can make I believe infinite Polyraptors until you end the loop.

I like this list and I have my own Gishath deck that I have been tunning (because that's what we edh peeps do) I think the artifact tribal cards like vanquishers banner and door of destinies are not so good in this type of deck where we should be focusing on Gishath. Helm of the Host and extra combat steps works better for me (I have played both strategies) Just trying to drop some helpful advice. I also ditched a lot of the smaller dinos and focus more on bombs, value, and commander damage. Your list did give me ideas and I would love to see a break the bank! Also - pyrohemia is fun (especially with Polyraptor)

I have been trying to find a commander i enjoy for years, and i finally found one in maren of the clan nel toth. Sadly, she seems to be very expensive. Perfect for the R/W/G infinite Polyraptor combo. Forerunner, Polyraptor, and Cathar's Crusade. I prefer THIS infinite combo as it gives +1/+1 counters to ALL creatures you control rather than just 1 of them.

How about congregation at dawn? You can search for your 3 best dinos before gishath deals damage and put them straight onto the battlefield. Also, it's not too pricey at around a dollar

Pyrohemia would make for a good reasonable upgrade. it's a 2RR enchantment with "At the beginning of the end step, if no creatures are on the battlefield, sacrifice Pyrohemia." and "R: Pyrohemia deals 1 damage to each creature and each player." which would be the absolute best way to trigger your enrage effects at any time as many times as you want. add in something like Rite of Passage and you can keep using it as often as you want, making your creatures bigger with each use along with all the enrage triggers.

@@TheCommandersQuarters I know man, i watch each and every one of the videos you upload, just wanted to make some suggestions that i find interesting, the stormy instant-sorc commanders are funny to play and i wanted to see a budget version made by you. I know those 2 are izzets, but one is a wizard tribal and the jhoira is more like an artifact-ish deck so it is similar in some ways but not at all. Anyways i will be waiting for the next video!

I have a Gishath deck and let me tell you, she's a huge troll, I've hit for 20 and gotten 3 dinos out, and I have a lot of dinos in there. Pyrohemia is a fantastic card for this deck btw
