I have a huge spice pantry based on your recipes. I have been with you from the beginning ! I work full time by choice, I love my job, I am very healthy, pretty, and at peace with my life. I wish we were neighbors in real life. I deeply appreciate you contribution to the universe. I love you, may God bless you. Namaste ,🙏

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful, detailed and inspirational talk. I retired in early 2021 and this advice is most relevant to me. The irritation of not being able to do work (official) can be intimidating. Gardening, bird watching, reading, tailoring, learning a new language etc are truly equivalent to the "official" work though more leisurely and at your own pace. Thank you once again for your lovely message.

Gitaji! After becoming a Family Member of Gitas Kitchen, I have never considered retirement or combating loneliness a burden. At this age, Ur goodself and Sir are our biggest inspiration. TWO IMPORTANT THINGS: 1. Before the retirement, we women are facing TWO MAJOR ISSUES. A) Kids of this generation wants to fly soon and conquer the world. We, the Mothers are too much emotionally bound. Hence we are facing the sudden loneliness and the detachment. 2. The Menopause problems. IF POSSIBLE, guide us. BASICALLY WE WANT TO KNOW YOUR VIEWS WHICH WERE BASED ON YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

Quite true Laavanya. the empty nest syndrome hits most of us and very often coincides with hormonal fluctuations of menopause too. Willdiscuss this topic in a future video

Totally agree Ma’m about thinking about your finance and savings way before your retirement starts. I would say exactly same thing applies to physical or mental health also. @prasanna39302 жыл бұрын
True. I am also 60. But I did not get married and now living alone. I do keep myself physically active. I try to also ensure my emotional health is balanced. I do meditation and go to temple often. That keeps me going on. I hope that I don't fall sick.

Sorry to hear that. But you can keep yourself busy by making a routine for yourself. You can visit the temple , go for a walk, if you like making pickles or pods you can engage in that activity. many youngsters going to office will thank you for that as they may not have the time.

Geeta Mam, i totally agree with whatever you said in this video. But i have seen many cases in my family circle and friend circle, where just before retirement, either husband or wife has expired. I know everybody has to leave this world one or the other day. But when you are just planning yr retired life, getting your children married and you lose your spouse, it is shocking for the spouse and it mentally affects them so much, because you plan your retired life with your spouse. In spite of good financial background , good health and understanding children too, you start missing your spouse and lose the interest to live. Somewhere loneliness starts creeping in, because you cant discuss everything with your children. Some things you can only share with your spouse. What is the solution to this problem mam. I have seen people around me facing this situation and it appears scary because many of them go into depression after losing their spouse, especially if they get along well with each other and hv led a happy married life.
@GitasKitchen2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you Saraswathiji. Loss of ones spouse is very difficult to deal with . Specially in todays nuclear families the loneliness hits all the more . But we have to accept Gods will. That is why it is always good to involve yourself in any passion which will keep one busy and distract our mind from depression and anxiety

Thanks for this video. But the question is NOT about planning for retirement, but why are we creating a life that leaves living a fulfilling life till the end? The better question is why be part of the rat-race as you rightly call it. Live a life that doesn't conform to others expectations, that is golden. Thanks.

Namaskar Gita Amma🙏, I can't speak Tamil, Telugu. I am not proficient in english but I will try what I want to say. I am Bharatiy born & brought in BharatVarsh. I love our country's name as BHARATVARSH & not that greek given n british implemented india findia, I hate it from core of my heart. BHARATVARSH is country's own name n given by country's own people almost 6,000 years ago & very meaningful, authentic genuine name, while greek british india, I think almost 3 centuries ago, is Totally meaningless from greek indica. There is SINDHU river, not any greek indus findus. I love Bharatiy Sanatani name of river Sindhu. There is huge difference between centuries & thousands, isn't it & thousands are IMPortant, isn't it?? I love BHARATVARSH, I believe in BharatVarsh so I believe in Yog which is Bharatiy, while yoga is totally western in all terms like western attire western stuff like pants mats etc etc. This western yoga has nothing to do with BharatVarsh, n western yoga is only for body exposure & never happen anything else. So, my request to you that Krupaya say Yog, BHARATVARSH, Dakshin/South Bharatiya padarth/dish as these are Bharatiya things. Yog is Bharatiy, while yoga is totally western.
@GitasKitchen2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you Snehalji. However I would like to add that sometimes there is a difference in pronunciation between North and South I ndians. This is basically due to the spelling difference in the regional language . Yog is written as Yoga in Tamil which is actually Tamizh ! So also we refer to God Sri Ram as Rama and in Hindi you call as Ram or Krishn whereas we say Rama or Krishna . We all love our Bharateeyata .
@स्नेहल-ज2घ2 жыл бұрын
@@GitasKitchen नमस्कार गीता अम्मा 🙏, उत्तर के लिए आपका बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद। Kshama karna Amma when my words hurt you, my intention is not to hurt you, but my intention is to talk about BharatVarsh. I don't know Tamil that's why I didn't know about Yog's Dakshin Bharatiy pronunciation. I am half Marathi half Kannad born & brought up in Maharashtra state. Yesterday on Tuesday, in english time 1 March 2022 because in BharatVarsh Bharatiy Maah/Maas/Mahina & Tithi are considered, on occasion of Mahashivratri I started to learn Tamil, I can't say how much time it will take to learn but I will try. Yes, there is difference. I will talk about Marathi. For e.g. name is Anant, but in KutumbParivaar (western 'family' is different concept, in that only husband wife & children are only family, parents, grandparents, uncle aunty their children other members are not family so I won't say family) or someone who close to Anant when calling with more affection they call Ananta, or name is Madhav then more affection will call Madhava but official name will be Anant, Madhav. In Granth, it has written writers call Bhagwaan Shiv as Shiva, while actual Shiva is Adishakti so it is ok what you said I also agree with you Amma. About spelling also I have seen, in south BharatVarsh there is 'H' after letter D & T in names, words but that thing is not in rest of Bharat. Beherhaal/Anyways, I always love to listen your saying your attire total calm Bharatiy that's why I talk with you what comes in my mind. My reply went so long, i'll stop now.
