Being a former atheist agnostic, it truly does take a type of faith to believe these theories on the basis of them knowing what they are talking about. Once I realized they are not authoritative I reset and truly dug deeper into the claims of religion and Christianity. Needless to say I walk now in the way the truth and the life.

Time and time again, the chief priests, the scribes and pharisees saw the miracles of Christ, and his followers! They saw them first hand! Yet they still chose not to believe! Why? Because they cared more about their own selfish desires and pride over the truth! They did the same thing when they also witnessed first hand evidence and the maracles of God during the death and resurrection of Christ! They let pride and selfishness blind them! Yet Christ shows mercy on them and their actions! Forgive them father he said! What an awesome God he is!

steve g I’m not close-minded enough to insinuate that someone who simply “questions what I believe” is wrong. But the interrupting and constant talking over Cliffe was polite? The clear aggression, aggravation and condescension in his voice was polite? The continual metaphorical eye rolling was polite? His overall attitude and delivery in itself was insulting. If you can’t see that then, righteo.

My dad who I reference as the agnostic in the family was a wonderful man. He was better on a daily basis to people in our world than I who was a deep believer and still am. My dad never hurt anybody including his children. He even saw God or an angel once when he was falling asleep driving and he could not agree that that was Jesus or an angel that saved his life. But the way his ethics and morality were says that somewhere in him he believed in a higher power in God. He also as I've said before believed in intelligent design.

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 24Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 25Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: 26Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 27And last of all the woman died also. 28Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. 29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

My dad was in agnostic until the day he died. We had many discussions about God around the dinner table and even he believed in an intelligent designer. He believed that something created all this but not an old man with a long beard sitting on the throne somewhere but the universe is evidence of intelligent design. My dad was an engineer and he thought very literally. We had him read Jonathan Livingston seagull and asked him what it was about and he said a bird. He was not good at reading between the lines but he knew there was an intelligent design of the universe that this was not an accident it is too fine-tuned to be an accident!

The evidence that Jesus rose from the dead is that there are Christian’s; we had to become born again to be saved and without the Holy Spirit it’s not possible because He’s the one that begins and finishes the work. If Jesus did not die, there wouldn’t be a Holy Spirit to indwell us; so there wouldn’t be any Christian’s; having Christian’s is the proof and evidence that Jesus did rise from the dead.

Humans didn’t CREATE sin. Sin began in heaven when LUCIFER rebelled against GOD Himself. This is why the things of heaven had to be purified first as the LORD says in His word. Satan gets thrown down to earth and tempts MANKIND...Eve gets deceived and Adam chose to disobey and that is when sin entered into us. Getting old and decaying and die is evidence GOD told the truth the day we eat we shall SURELY die and it is true today. Even my atheist friends cannot explain why DEATH exists and where did it come from...because if EVOLUTION began it all or the BIG BANG or anything else...why not be everlasting...why does it pose back to what GOD said in His word? Why every scientist on the planet and them who existed in the past calls the SUN, sun and the MOON, moon and this rock EARTH? WHY do they use the very description names of these celestial bodies OUR BIBLE whom GOD named them? Why not create another name for them...like Venus and Mars and Saturn and pluto? That shows more evidence that the Names of SUN MOON EARTH and STARS already had names before SCIENTISTS had a chance to name them...lol. WOW how they copy the bible. I have a question about God creating our sexuality to be a beautiful thing enjoyed within the confines of marriage. What are those of us who have no hope for finding a significant other supposed to do with this "gift"? I'm a Christian, but I have to say I think it's a bit cruel to have been given a healthy sex drive, only to be called to singleness. Why? What was the point? I've tried praying about it, but I have no answers. I'm just stuck here with urges and stress that I'll never have a righteous outlet for and God refuses to tell me what to do about it. I love the Lord and I repent of my sins, but this thing, I just don't understand.

To teach us to rely on the Lord in our trials. Believe me, I know exactly what you are going through right now...It can be downright crushing some days. Sometimes we are called to suffer to bring glory to God. He has never said that you can't come to Him in tears. If you need to break down in tears during your prayers to Him, then do it. Tell Him your heart and what grieves you. That is the relationship we are called to have with Him, that he should KNOW us. He can give you peace that you no one can comprehend.

If they make you laugh It’s like taking a bath Your mind gets cleaned. If today is the day for funny guys Who take away our chicken liver lies. Then watch Bill Murray in, “What about Bob” Or someone else, getting a smack in the gob. You’ll be amazed at your state of mind Laughter is the best medicine.

Custer had a rocket in his pocket And that was a thing called bravery. Yes it was courage that he could muster, And so too must we to beat this thing called chicken livery. And we’ve gotta try every trick in the book to get our share, But I’m telling you, Watch some amusing mirth, It drives away your cares.

Pretty sure this statement won't make me popular here, but here it is. I don't think that the way Stuart eagerly forced an unsolicited strawman of one of Richard Dawkins' views into the first conversation made us look good. Just saying. Love to both Stuart and Cliff though- I wish more people were trying to do what they're trying to do.

Back then you died for your beliefs in Christ in one God. You were crucified you were ripped apart by animals you were set on fire. Christianity spread fairly slowly in the first century and it was in secret.

If you must constantly preach, about an entity you believe to be true, but the evidence is contrary. And yes 100 percent of the evidence points differently. Scientifically, archeological, and mathematical all points to evolution. You need another advertising agent with better sales tactics and any evidence. You cannot say because the Bible says so. I.e. the Koran.

It was written decades after that 500 people saw Jesus rise from the dead by unnamed authors. The book of gelgamish which is very close to the story of Noah but written well before the Bible. It’s just hard for me to accept where fact and fiction are in the Bible. Maybe god did create evolution, again I don’t know, I just can’t at this point say yes there has to be a god.

It doesn’t support a conclusion, it only supports an argument to the contrary, no one knows for sure that’s why it’s called faith or a belief. You believe there is a god. I still require more evidence to believe a god exists!

Simple statistics prove any story changes over time , when told my multiple people, and the first written account was decades after the fact. So was artistic license taken by the authors, to put there own spin on the story, maybe we don’t know? Is this the part you are having trouble grasping?? You believe a document possibly written 50 years after a supposed event, and I believe there may be some non truths?

How am i making an elementary mistake saying the Bible May have some false writings. You believe the Bible is 100 percent accurate, that’s where you and I differ, all I’m stating is I need more evidence!

Hey Billy, how you doing?.. I've said many times, there isn't a major university in the world that doesn't teach evolution, if that's what you were referring to as 'foolish ideas' .. even William Lane Craig believes in evolution.kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKK4koqfqrdnirs

@@bonnie43uk Are you trying to justify evolution as fact, just because most major universities teach it ?... thats like living in Nazi Germany during 1939, and trying to justify the murder of Jews based on the factthat it was common practice during the time.... C'mon Tom. You can't be serious.

@@Gericho49 Hi Gerry, it has a lot to do with everything. Wouldn't you want to know if our planet has been here for billions of years and that we humans have only been on this planet for a tiny fraction of that time, as opposed to some people believing our planet is only a few thousand years old, and that if we don't accept the Christian worldview we are going to perish in some form of hell. I'd say that's a pretty big claim.
