Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball

Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball was a three-day celebration held by Oprah Winfrey honoring twenty-five African American women in art, entertainment, and civil rights.
The celebration included a luncheon, white-tie ball, and gospel brunch. On May 22, 2006, a year after the celebration, a one-hour program about the weekend aired on ABC. It included celebrity interviews and behind-the-scenes moments.[1]

I love love love love this absolutely incredible blessed clip! I have this saved from years ago and it popped up to the top of my clips today for some reason, so I click play and that was it once again!! This is one of my ALL TIME favorite clips. I can watch this a thousand times and still get caught up! I wish it was longer - they had so many divas they could have passed the mic to. In any case - I would have loved longer segments of the ones they DID pass the mic to. BeBe was the only man, but he was a wonderful foundation for this impromptu session. I hope all these people who attended would revisit this and tap into their faith again and let The Holy Spirit finish the work He started in them. It's one thing to say it and sing it - another thing altogether to live it. A lot of these people started the race, but not a lot of them are choosing to press forward. The race, as Paul said, goes to the ones who cross the finish line - not those who sign up. Let's keep all these "stars" in prayer - some have moved into eternity, but for those that are still here - they still have time.
