I was able to get one before they were sold out I can honestly say with first Impressions especially for the price I am impressed with the overall quality and functionality. The mount fuels solid and stable. Even the metal used feels like steel. Highly recommend if you can catch it.

Nick, what’s the difference between your version and the RovyVon version? I just dropped a super detailed review on the RovyVon and I’m wondering how to answer that question, and just happened to stumble across your video
@Nickdefdis7 ай бұрын
The defdis version has upgraded adjustment turrets and flipped markings. Those are the current changes, though there are a lot of future changes and accessories planned. Plus they ship out of the US
@4MRRanch7 ай бұрын
@@Nickdefdis can you share what’s been done to upgrade the turrets? I never experienced issues with the RovyVon turrets, it held zero and I did a tracking test and they return to the same position if you make the same number of adjustments. Honestly curious and want to out out good info, currently working on a detailed video of the Pro, XL and FP versions

It's extra cementing on the inside. The Chinese laser turrets have a habit of breaking of you reach the edge and don't realize it (I've broken 2 other lasers this way).

Running mine in an NVG class in 3 weeks! only 500 round count of 5.56, but excited to see how it works out! Curious to get some of the other dudes impressions as well. With the barrier to entry in the laser market being around a grand for a LAM with SHIT IR Illumination, the GL4 pro at the current price point with its performance should peak everyones attention. The IR Illum is better than a dbal a3 and the holosun LS 321

Ive got 2 and i have an xl on the way its pretty nice been helping rovyvon develop it the one gripe I have is when pushing and holding the item momentary switches the laser moves from your finger pressure ...test it you will see the green vis move

Not budget price but the LaserSpeed FL5 has all those features. PEQ16 has those features. Both are full size devices.

What's the difference between this unit and the $290 version on Amazon?

My guess is the changes he's made and the fact that he stocks them in the US and I assume he deals with warranty issues

I need a new light/laser for my home defense ar15, does the laser hold zero well when you take it on and off

It does hold zero, I generally don't take it on and off without a rezero just for rule of thumb but the qd does bring it back

It looks great for a pistol but holsters most likely won’t fit. The issue with rifle is the light doesn’t have much candela at least for me . I would love to see one that’s just the slaved lasers that way it could be paired with a surefire ir head
@Lwikfo8 ай бұрын
@@Nickdefdis how much input do you have I. Product development ? A affordable compact dual slaved laser is really needed in the market.

Hey Nick, I’m going to piggyback on a couple of relative comments that I see on here regarding this lasers use on a rifle platform like an AR 15. In your experience with this unit does it hold zero and hold up durability wise with hard use on an AR 15 or even an AK? I currently have a Holosun LS321G and it has been a good unit for me with no issues. I am considering offloading the Holosun and giving this a try. So how would this compare to the Holosun LS321G in your opinion?
@Nickdefdis8 ай бұрын
I don't have an ls321g but we are going to get one to test this against. We've done some hard use on an ar15 and it's held up fine, have not on an ak
@Joshua-z6s8 ай бұрын
@@Nickdefdis sounds good and thank for your reply. I thought I’d throw the AK testing out there for the AK guys. Would you then recommend getting into this laser for a dedicated rifle NVG set up? That is what I’m looking at replacing my Holosun for.

I cannot understand if someone can explain it to me, why the Visible Laser and IR Pointer are so weak, the IR illuminator is listed as 35 mW, so that is good makes sense, but the IR Pointer is listed if I remember correctly as 0.7 mW. Upgrading the IR illuminator to something better is not a big cost difference and I am sure a lot of people would be willing to pay for the upgrade. If you just include what people are looking for, there will be no need to advertise, people will read the specs and it will sale itself.
