So i bought razors walkie talkie attachment for the headphones, and i was under the impression that i could connect it to a baofeng. I cant figure out how and cant find any information online, smh

tigrett outdoors makes a cable the SMC cable that has a built in mic that will allow you to link up a baofeng to the razrs

I am having issues running a UV-5R with a pair of Walkers Razors and a BTech cable. If I plug in the cable all the way to the radio and headset I get little signal and only on one ear cup, but if I pull them both out a notch the sounds plays in both ears. Also even at full volume they are so quiet. Any suggestions?

Either the cable or the female socket in the walkers is out of spec...probably the cable

So are you running HAM or GMRS when running this kit? I feel like the amount of frequencies of ham would be better for the sake of not being concentrated into 22 gmrs channels so you’re more likely to have some privacy in your comms with your team. That being said most people say they prefer gmrs for these things.

Agreed, but for a gmrs license you just need to pay the fee. You have to pay and pass a test for a ham license

Sweet!!! Quick question do you plan on posting a video on the dangers of using a baofeng during a grid down situation? Like the dangers of being easily tracked the moment you key the PTT? Folks need to understand that before you get them killed.

If I do it will be a much more comprehensive video. Any signal can be tracked, there are techniques to limit exposure but anyone who wants a 100% guarantee nobody will track their signal shouldn't be using a radio at all.
