Glacier Bay toilet, water continuously running in the tank after flushing (fixed)

After flushing the toilet, water refilled back into the tank reservoir but continued running even after tank filled to proper water line.

I have a crack in my floater...I think it's preventing it from rising properly...I put some tape on it....I found your vid since it's the same brand....been a nuisance since I moved here.....hope this does the trick this time....tried this earlier from another vid and didn't work.

The fill valve will need to be replaced if the running continues
