Gladiator Check Engine Light Went off | Is this the Fix?

2020 gladiator, I have been having the same issue. Had the dealer check the auto start/stop error with the truck running. Pending misfire code. The ECU has been replaced and the new one flashed with the update. It was good for 6 months. Back at it today

I have a 2021 Mojave with 1300 miles, I bought it a month ago, and I already had my first check engine light on, it was a code for fuel running too lean, air to fuel ratio too lean, Wish me luck

I have a 2020 JT Gladiator Sport S. My stop start has not come on yet . I have had the AC on since the day I got it. No check engine light, no problem with the stop start, have not had to turn it off and on....

We have been having a problem with the check engine light coming on in our 2022 Jeep Gladiator , we been getting the run around , then my wife noticed that it only happen when we park on a side angle parking spot , they kept telling us nothing wrong any ideas what this could cause it

I own the Mojave, same issues , took to dealer . I was told it needed an “update and re-flash” of the system. No issues since ... about 2k miles ago

i also have a mojave and before my first gas tank i got the check engine light. how do i go about elling the dealership that it needs this flash. also has the engine light come back yet?

@@stealthtiburon My engine light keept coming on... flash.. nothing.. 4 times. Ended up being a cylinder misfire... they could not fix it. When they said that they needed to replace half the engine after 600 miles I invoked the lemon law in Maryland so they bought it back but it was a hassle. My suggestion, go on google and type " how to complain to jeep" It should send you to the jeep website where you can fill out a complaint form. Surprisingly they are very responsive and that is how I got them to buy it back. they will fix it (even if they have to replace the engine) if that is what you want.

I had the same problem with the auto stop light intermittently coming on. I turned off the engine and the check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer and they did the computer update. No problems since.

Add mineto the list at 7,000 miles check engine light came on with auto start/stop light. Dealer said p300 code need to change cam shaft. It will be In dealership 2 weeks till they get the part! Advised me not to drive it till then.

Typically after 2-3 starts or drive cycles with no problems seen by the ECM it clears the CEL automatically.

Does it store the code?

RobMotiveJT it should. On a Jeep as new as yours it should be stored in current codes or history codes but it may require a complete scan by stealership to pull them. Plus the freeze frame will tell them what the ECM saw when the code set. Was it a misfire code?

RobMotiveJT was it a P0300 or did it identify a specific cyl. such as P0301 to P0306. P0301 signifies cyl. 1 and so on.

I've had the supplemental battery replaced, the "new" software update applied, (which has now been withdrawn), had the oil galley bolts in cylinder head torqued, cleaned the phasers 3 times, replaced an O2 sensor, replaced the rocker arms - you get the picture. Check engine light and auto start/stop light still on, going back to the dealer for the 5th time tomorrow.

@@dsparta0846 - Yes, and the update is that after 6 trips to the dealer, 45 days in the shop over a 6 month period, Jeep has stepped up and agreed to buy it back. We should be finished with the process in about 2 weeks. I must say that I have nothing but compliments for their service and their efforts.

They did both for my gladiator. Replaced the battery and updated the PCM

Soooo.... dealer says (after a week) “we need to keep it longer and drive it extensively to make sure the light stays off “ .... WT... damn ! Needless to say I’m going to the dealership in person tomorrow. Zero answer as to what is causing the engine light and the auto/start/stop to come on

I've had 2 lights come on in my 2014 Tacoma. I done a little digging and found out it had to do with my gas cap supposedly being loose.

@@robmotiveplus the check engine light and TRAC OFF lights will both come on at the same time if it's the gas cap. It hasn't come on in a while tho.

BTW, I followed your suggestion on checking the fuses. Well roughly 80% of my fuses were need completely pushed in. So thanks for the heads up to check.

Hey Rob, I’ve been back to my dealer multiple times with the same issue. They think it’s cam phasers. I’m a bit reluctant but they’ll be replacing 2 of them next week. Thoughts?

RobMotiveJT- when I start the truck I push the “A” button to disable the auto start .. that makes the light go away . Still irritated about it , I’ll call the dealer , let me know, if you would, what you come up with

Seems to me when diagnostic light come on they will keave a code that the dealership can easily identify. Id take it in and let them fix it. Like u said when u start messing with electrical or computers on vehicles things dont go well. Cant help to wonder if its all related to that device you hooked up to it . I personally dont trust those aftermarket devices...you say u removed it but but may have jacked up something
