Tournament Prep: Mental Game and Strategy! | WHY Am I throwing ALL Gateway Discs??? | Disc Golf

Hey guys! After a resounding response on Instagram, here is the video showing my tournament prep for the Commerce Pride Open in Commerce, TX. This is a super challenging course that always seems to get the best of me haha it appears with below freezing temps and wind chill, this course took another one against me. However, with the tournament being rescheduled due to INSANE weather in Texas, it should be warmer when we can finally play. Looking forward to being even better when it comes around.
Side note: there is music being played on holes 4-6 (I think) that I wasn't even listening to... the microphone must've picked up the radio frequencies... weird!

I have found that an outer layer of thin fleece with a windstopper type layer allows you to wear fewer layers. The wind can rob you of warmth.

There has definitely been some adjustment, but I don't feel like I'm missing a shot in my bag. I actually believe I've created a more solid and consistent bag.

Big, easy to put on and take off mittens allow you to throw sans gloves. Also, use a grip bag as your hands will be dryer in the winter and the grip bag normalizes the feel of the disc. A softer grade of plastic gets harder in the cold and also feels more normal for a warmer day. A set of ice creepers will help prevent slippage if the ground is frozen or icy tee pads. The extra clothing will inhibit your natural throw so accept a bit of randomness to the disc flight and let others lose their heads. Everyone is cold and the people who embrace it and have fun with it will do better. Its February so find joy in playing.
