Burton Cummings was the voice of my teenage years, the voice of my twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties. In my 60s, I kept coming back to his voice. I'm 68 now - and he is still the voice!!!

Just seeing ANY Guess Who footage from the 70s in this excellent quality is a blessing. Loved this song, unsure if this can be released these day. David Bowie loved the track.

Although originally written as a putdown of Bowie, Burton Cummings now performs this song as a tribute to the Starman, who always had a great British sense of humour and thought it was funny when he first heard it.

I’ve never “Glamour Boy” (GB) until this morning. When I first listened to the lyrics I initially thought it was inspired by “Dog Day Afternoon” (DDA) but GB released in 1973 while DDA released in 1975 so it wasn’t really possible. But after reading a bit the lead singer said it was inspired by David Bowie. (In DDA Al Pacino is robbing a bank to pay for his boyfriend’s sex-change operation and I believe it was around the dollar figure brought up in GB.)

The uncanny thing is that singer so clean cut but not in a 60's way. He looks like he's from the 80s.

Not that I’ve tried it but I think for maybe zero dollars I could “look like a woman tonight.” My wife has some makeup lying around and a dress or two. I’ll have to wing it because I wouldn’t know what I’m doing. I have a feeling I might not be a “looker” though.
@briarpalek92547 ай бұрын
😆 And now we have an entire generation that can not figure out if they one or the other. They are too stupid to know what the items they were born with between their legs mean.They are so confused, they think there are dozens of genders. This song is incredibly relevant for these times.
