Very nice. I am more than intrigued by your viking reenactments. Thanks. Here in America we do much the same with Reenactment Rendezvous with folks portraying people common to America and Canada of the 1700 to 1840 fur trade era pioneers. Lots of target shooting with replica flintlock rifles, pistols and muskets. Primitive long bow as well. Cooking period foods for sharing along with evening music and partys around the campfires. Lots of good fun. Best

I'm so glad you posted that as I'm part of both cultures, and love the fact that my ancestors came to North America and became pioneers, especially in the fur and timber trade not just survived but prospered.

Necro posting, but I grew up with buckskinning ( the Rendezvous culture) and National Muzzleloading Rifle Association shooting competition. It was a great way to grow up!

@@HandsonHistoryAS Don't use digital zoom. The quality of your videos where you use digital zoom is 480p max even though the videos are uploaded at 1080p. So not only are you wasting your own time rendering and uploading 1080p but also the downstream of your tens of thousands of viewers. Back that zoom off - if you want a tight shot move the camera closer like every camera operator on Earth does. If you have expensive glassware sure use optical zoom (sparingly) but zoom should never be used. Just because it's there doesn't mean you should use it - something everyone's dad in the 1980's didn't realise with VHS recorders. :P

You can come to Viking Fest at Valkyrie Ranch in Paige Texas for Summer Solstice and Yule. There are some Norwegian crafts, but for the most part it is Renaissance Faire with a Viking Flair. Big emphasis on party and have fun. The rancher is Norwegian and the whole thing started as a University project highly based on what you saw in this video. But when you get a lot of Renaissance Faire goers together, well, you know what to expect.

HOLY COW!! I've been watching HoH AS for about a year now and I had not made the connection that you are a part of Songleiker!! I feel like such a fool now! There was always something so familiar about you, I just thought it was because you reminded me of an old friend, but it's because I've watched several Songleiker videos! I'm an idiot.

What bullshit. Vikings traded and served as mercenaries and fought alongside allies ALL OVER the world, and probably fought against each other & neighbours more than anyone. No one who is racist is going to be very welcome in such a culture. For one thing, re enactors and culturally rooted people are all very interested in each other's culture &music. Nordic indigenous culture is INDIGENOUS. Did you miss that?
