Thx Alex for another great GO video. I really appreciate the content you provide as you are an enthusiast go deep into the brand, the watch and show all side of a watches life in the sun, water an so on. Please keep it going! Two years ago I bought a blue "SeaQ Panorama Datum" after watching your two videos about the watch and the testing process in Glashütte. After two years I really don't miss a second of owning and buying one of these beauties and can underline every word you said in your review. A watch that consists +90% handmade inhouse parts sells for rediculous 10k is great value for money and an enrichment for the daily use and collection.

Fantastic review! I purchased the Seaq Panorama a few months ago, it truly is a fantastic timepiece. Yes it is a large watch, however it sits tight to the wrist. Plus on the fly adjustment on the steel bracelet is very convenient. This is my favorite timepiece in my collection!

Having too many languages in your head is a gift. So many spectacular details. The profile shot showing the curvature of the flanks and the polished bevel running the distance between the lugs was really striking. The font of the applied markers is pleasing as well. With the omission of the number four, the curvature of the remaining numbers really compliment eachother.

I think if GO did a strong marketing campaign they would get much more hype with more casual watch lovers. The quality of the timepiece is clear to see but when the brand value isn't high, you can't justify that price from a market perspective (even though the price is justified from a technical and artistic perspective). Great content as always, thanks for the uploads!

I already have the blue SQPD and this pushed me to acquire the green dial! GREAT review. Funny, i have a 70s PD, and the clasp was AWFUL because the pin had to be screwed in. So it never felt right. Now that the pin can be moved (say on a flight) i might inquire about adding that sail strap. At heart, I’m always a bracelet guy, so that’s what I’ll order. Thank you for such a great review

A fulsome and articulate review, Alexander - thanks! I hugely respect these watches and the DIN certification really is tremendous. I think the manufacturing quality of these is second to no other dive watch (your video from the factory was excellent). Only the peerless Fifty Fathoms beats this to the 'ultimate high horology diver' crown! But despite the size, these are more versatile in style (on bracelet) than the FF. The movement is a star and the Pano Date a classy complication. Interesting that Blancpain and Breguet also utilise a quick change big date, albeit a different movement - great consistency from SWATCH grp. The elephant in the room is the size... This is the size of a Planet Ocean, but with longer lugs and less case faceting. Potentially it wears bigger than a FF. I'm not convinced the simple '50s style case lends itself to such proportions, in a relatively smart, 'everyday diver' watch. The Seamaster 300 has the same (but smaller) problem: skin-diver cases don't up-scale from ~39mm that easily. All that said - it looked great on your wrist in a sporting setting! Also, (as I found with the FF) challenging your size preconceptions is good - try it on wrist with or without long sleeves and you may be surprised!

If they made the Panorama Date 42mm and reduced the thickness to under 14mm this would be the perfect dive watch. Regardless it is gorgeous.

Real quality calibres are never thin… believe me there is a good reason for a certain thickness…
@rumcoke91232 жыл бұрын
I agree...I own the 42mm bicolour...it is a bit thick but still an incredibly gorgeous watch.
@tomw4852 жыл бұрын
@@WatchAdvisor I get it. You have a point. Except for the fact that 14mm isn’t exactly thin (my Zenith Chronomaster Sport is a chronograph and 13.6mm thick) and GO already makes this using essentially the same calibre at 12.15mm in their 39.5mm version without the big date. While I don’t expect it to be that thin it does not need to be as chunky as it is especially for the calibre it houses.

Interesting how muted the green is. For example the Omega Seamaster also looks almost black indoors. But when the Omega is in natural light (outside) the green becomes much more evident. Not to say I don’t like the GO, in fact I have this model on my short list.
@yankeesandgiants18862 жыл бұрын
The green dial doesn't pop like the blue dial. I made the decision on the blue dial because of the way it catches the light The green dial is more flat and matte (like a military color) but some may like that.

This is an amazing watch, but apart a great finish and refinement of the movement, I do not see any reason to prefer it against my Omega Seamaster 300 diver in blu: on mine even the Omega logo on the crown is fully aligned! So why I should pay the double? Maybe a 20% more, but no too much more
