Glass Animals I JUST GOT HOME FROM YOUR PERFORMANCE AT THE SEATTLE PARAMOUNT AND OH. MY. GOD. YOU GUYS WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I can't put into words how that set made me feel. You all exuded such positive energy, it radiated from the stage out into the audience. DAVE I swear, we held steady eye contact during a few songs and needless to say my heart stopped. This music video is SO interesting. Have you noticed that the three characters that she "fight" are actually characters from the disc cover? (oh if you don't know each of those 11 characters match which a song of the album) First, we got Life Itself, so the song's character is officially the nerdy white shirt boy. Then we got Cane Shuga, so obviously the song's character is the guy in underwears, and to conclude we got The Other Side Of The Paradise, and this song's character is the basketball player, just named "Paradise", so that confirms some theories about which character match with which song. Now we enter the very interesting part, because ladies and gentlemen, lemme tell you that Cane Shuga is actually the (ex) boyfriend of the blue jacket girl. Now you might be like "dude what are talking about" but wait, I'm gonna show you some proof. First, this is obvious that S2 Ep3's narrator is the blue jacket girl's boyfriend. He calls her "baby", "my girl", etc. And the guy at 2:33 calls her "baby" too. Mmmmmh... And who is this guy? Cane Shuga. Another thing that confirms that is that he tells her: "no more bloody nose", and this is a part of Cane Shuga's lyrics. So, that means that S2E3's narrator is Cane Shuga himself. Huh, proofing that was actually quite simple, but now let's enter some serious theories. Hearing to the verses, we can clearly guess that the narrator is annoyed by the laziness of "blue jacket" (oh, let's simply call here BJ). But now let's look at the chorus: "don't you need me, you baby boy, cause I'm so happy, without your noise". My theory is that these sentences are the only ones sung by BJ in the whole song. Why? Because it makes more sense: the girl is happy without Cane Shuga grumbling about her lazy behavior; and she's teasing him by asking if he's not missing her: "Don't you need me?". Also, all these stories could explain BJ's confused face when she sees Cane Shuga on her screen at 1:22 and 1:31. Never noticed this until now but when the dialogue of every boss in each stage shows up, the name of their song is shown. So in stage 1 the guy was Life Itself which we've seen before, in stage 2 the shirtless guy is called Cane Shuga, and the basketball dude at stage 3 is Paradise (The Other Side of Paradise). So most likely those are the characters of those songs. And at the end the group of guys is obviously Glass Animals. I'm really looking forward to their other music videos!
