I just added this sensor along with a vipers alarm to my Lincoln. These sensors are so sensitive that the rain set them off ! No joke 🤣! So I went back to my Installer to have the sensor adjusted . Fine now , I love it ! Still something good even in 2023 !

Thank you very much for this video. It may be a old video, but today in 2023 it is very relevant and needed. Just last night someone broke into my Truck. I have the alarm which was on , but they just broke the window and the Tint basically held the window together and allowed them to climb into my truck without opening the door and sounding the alarm. Definitely getting those Glass and Motion Sensors. Thanks so much for the advice

I have a similar setup without the auto start. Have the glass semsor, tilt sensor and along with the shock sensor I'm pretty much covered lol. Have had to do some adjustments on the glass sensor due to I like to leave the windows vented narrowed false alarms to garbage day. No more falsing and does trigger from any window of course it is a 2014 ram regular cab not a huge space anyway. Just found out couple days ago neighbors two doors down found there car torn apart.

Hi bro, have you wired the three sensors in parallel? I'm thinking about doing the same in my car. I've got a motion sensor and shock sensor and going to buy the glass break sensor

Did you install the diode like it says in the instructions? It seems it will not let the current pass if I install it in the orientation that it says in the instructions. Any tips?

No I don't, I just plug it in to the Viper brain.

It might, depends how well insulated you vehicle is. You might want to add a proximity sensor as well.

why not put a motion sensor near the dome light for a Jeep Wrangler soft top (2005) ?or what other recommendations would you make for a two way remote system?

aa999xyz Motion or proximity? I find they tend to false a lot and need a lot of fine tuning. But for a jeep under the center console is one of the better solutions (proximity).

Using a system that is compatible integrating with the factory computer and allow OEM fob control.

How would I go about adding this to a Toyota RS3200 system? These are set up for OEM glass break sensors but those are discontinued, so I’ll have to find some way to integrate an aftermarket unit to the alarm system

09ThunderOne You can hard wire this to the vehicle and hook up the trigger wire to driver's door pin so the factory alarm things the door is opening. Directed also sells a shock sensor (their CTP unit).

im having a problem installing mine in a good location does the mircrophone need to be facing up or can i use the double sided tape that somes with it and tape it on the window and it would work better??

Gary Whiddon I think it would work best on the windshield double side taped. I like them under the dash personally.

Will this work on vaper model:7145v I got alarm 5 month ago in I notice that when some one hits my h3 the alarm don’t turn on or when they put stuff on hood and I went on bottom where they have the box to turn up volume in I turn it up all they where in only time alarm comes on when they try pull handle for the driver side or if they hit front of car but when I tap on window or side nothing happens I want see if this will work on my alarm in I want lark be Sensitive thank you hop I get comment back

Most Viper security systems have the ability to take additional sensors. Best things is to go back to your authorized Viper dealer and inquire about the part. You can also make modifications to it and wire it directly into a trigger of the security system.

Technically there isn't a limit, you can hardwire more if you choose. The is one extra plug input on this sensor.

I have the 506T in my truck, but DEI's proximity sensor in my convertible Mustang. In that application, it's great. Warn-away goes off with a casual "lean" into the car, then it goes off fully with anything more.

ashemoski Great point! It would honestly probably false with hail but it doesn't happen enough in our area to be an issue. The DEI prox is really good but for daily drivers I'm always readjusting it. Mainly because some puts something on top of it changing the settings.
