This video shows the Glass Breaker Escape Bracelet facilitates emergency egress from a vehicle via a side or rear window. Designed to be a low-profile escape tool that can always be with you, this bracelet is made of elasticized cord with an integral striker bead. The bead is made from tungsten carbide. The product’s design enables the user to generate high velocity for the bead with minimal movement. Just a single strike directed from this device can instantly destroy tempered glass.
To deploy, remove the Glass Breaker Escape Bracelet from your wrist and loop it around your thumb and first finger, then position the bead against the vehicle’s side or rear window. With your other hand grasp the bead and pull it straight back as far as you can, turn your head away, and then release the bead. The bracelet design features an adjustment system that allows the user to achieve a custom fit. Color: black. Weight: 0.065 oz. Always have an escape plan!

I like how when you’re talking about it you’ve got safety glasses on. But the guy actually breaking the glass protects everything BUT his eyes. Lol. Cool product and cool demo! Thumbs up from me!

In reality, a person trapped in a car most likely will not have sunglasses or regular glasses on anyway. However I'm not sure why the guy felt it necessary to cover his whole face with a mask. (Kinda made me feel like it could be used for breaking in or breaking out of a car)

Great survival tool. Be prepared. One little bracelet that can help you escape a submerged or burning vehicle when power windows won't work. No searching around the cabin for it, it's on your wrist. Remember, you first must survive the car accident. You will probably be disoriented, shook up, or in shock. You will do what you practice. So if you buy this, do as this man does. Practice. Practice. Practice. Then you may have better odds of surviving. No tool works by itself. You must practice. Be safe🛡️

That is quite impressive. I was surprised just how much of the window cracked the first time, but then in the second and third demonstration the glass was totally shattered. I also noticed that even if the glass doesn't fly away leaving a hole, one can effortlessly knock out the rest or all of the glass that is left within the window's frame. This would facilitate being able to reach in or out to manipulate the levers, buttons or safety and get the door open quickly with little risk of being scratched or cut by the glass. It's a great escape tool.

@@lizaltman1200 Yeah.... but if you're trying to get out, you'd want to know that all the glass will break and fall out or that it can be knocked out easily. I stated that I thought it did a good job. I never mentioned older cars or late model cars. And because it is an inanimate object it has no prowess, but rather performance. I hope my response is highlighted for all to see.

This is clearly a very well thought out device which operates effectively. My primary device for the breaking of toughened glass is the Emergency Safety Devices (ESD) Glass Breaker Tail Cap for my Mini Maglite AA, which also has a 140 Lumens LED Upgrade Kit and a Clear Glass Lens to improve it over its original spec. I run it with lithium batteries which are an outstanding improvement. In addition to the ESD device, I keep the excellent ResQme device on my ignition key. I wanted a safety device that would defeat toughened glass when operated single handed (in case one hand was injured or in some way restricted) and both of the above devices do so extremely well. They are also quite fast to deploy, my Maglite lives in an open topped ambidextrous belt holster and my ignition key and attached ResqMe device live on the same belt on the opposite hip. The bracelet glass breaker could easily work single handed though protecting one's hand from shattered glass fragments would be desirable. Edited to say that having just had a closer look at the glass breaker device, it appears to be the rotary flint igniter found on disposable gas lighters!

@@CC_Reads Lol. I have 2 of those 3 tools (2-in-1 window breaker / seatbelt cutter & flashlight) but keep both in my car. It’s better to be safe than sorry as ppl don’t plan on having their car submerged, on fire, or get stuck in an accident. I don’t have the bracelet but think it’s a smart idea espec for those most at risk for kidnappings.

Slinging a bracelet is child’s play, you don’t have to be smart or have muscle memory to do it. Also, by the time you get to your glove box, take out the spark plug, and use it you could have easily shattered the window.

I guess it would, but by using it that way you likely increase the chance of losing/dropping it, which might be a serious issue if the glass doesn't break at the fist attempt.

It probably wouldn’t be the safest thing to do. the water pressure would be very strong as it rushes in, assuming you’re thinking of a car. I would suggest breaking the window before the car is fully submerged

Wow - almost shocking. I'm still a little doubtful about the number of small-body part/fine motor skill operations this needs...if the vehicle spun out, rolled once sliding down the bank and winds up in the water on its side, are you really going to be able to deploy and operate this? Something that's just a basic full- or half-arm smash is going to be easier, it's almost instinctive. Still, I al lost jumped when that first window more or less exploded. Great demo and impressive little tool.

Google knots to tie 2 lines together. Or do a simple overhand knot with the tag end running parallel to the standing line and cinch (tighten) everything down. Check every so often to make sure knots stay tight.
