Man people don't give bass enough credit, it's the most badass instrument of metal.

I have been thinking about it... I've been speaking to Travis Sykes from the band asking about tunings and whether my fretting was correct, which it apparently was not; I followed the guitar part instead of the bassline, but I figure that's what I could really hear through the mix... so I guess this is more of a guitar cover then? haha I'll probably do another one soon with the better mic, but now that I know the bass part is different I'll have to learn it right this time :)

I am though, just to specify. Just a really treble-y tone as I was playing through computer speakers :\

Tuning is drop F, and yeah I'm plugged in, my camera mic just couldn't handle the brutality of the low string until I got the mic I used in my cover of "Waterline" by The Korea.

hmm maybe get a di box and record direct next time. I feel like its easier to control bass tone and punch thru the mix in the digital realm. also you wont record any fret buzz and pick noise
