This Princess Luna would be a far greater character then the show canon one. I think having Luna as another mentor for Twilight would be amazing and an added bonus of a little revenge on Celestia. In my opinion, the writers just don't really know what to do with Luna at this point, so she's pretty much just there in episodes now. I've always thought that Luna's design should have look more like NMM, but without the fangs, fully ethereal mane and her colors should be as they are in canon. NMM should be her enraged/corrupted look.As for Celestia imprisoning Luna, I think it was an accident. My interpretation is that the EoH weren't at full power when Celestia used them on NMM. Not being at full power, the EoH did the next best thing they could to maintain harmony (i.e. imprison NMM). Sense Celestia's connection t the EoH were severed by the fight with NMM, she couldn't use them to release NMM and had to wait for the next and true Bearers of Harmony to emerge.

Celestia sent Nightmare Moon to the moon with the elements of harmony, the mane 6 used them to turn her back to Luna. Am I the only one who would like an explanation of why Celestia couldn't just do that instead of banishing her to the moon.

Lovely Character dissection, and I really hope someone on the staff is watching. Because this sort of approach would really bring a lot more to Luna's character as well as be the opportunity for a lot of really powerful stories. Great points Lily.

Been a fan of yours for a good minute and the more I look back on your content (wayyy) the more I appreciate your approach to your video essays and the world.
