Ive been using a red max for about a year with no problems, But yeah it is a little hard on the oxygen, but I would reccomend a lynx. the flame characteristics you can get from a GTT are amazing. Im planning on getting a Carlisle CC soon. Look into those too. They kick ass, just a little spendy. If you find a used one that isnt beating to shit swoop that thing up without even thinking about it. Good luck if you have any other questions feel free to PM me. Im happy to help.

Hey I am looking into doing some glass bowing and have been reading up on torches to buy. I am looking into a Lynx for a starter setup because I am going to do the typical upgrade to the phantom ( eventually) Have you heard much on the Lynx? What is your setup? I was looking into the RedMax But I heard the Lynx Isn't very much different other than a burner on the top. And I heard the Redmax makes a very bushy flame causing less efficient use of gases? Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yea I got two 15psi/8lpm machines. I originally had a Cheetah but there was definitely need of more O2. The Scorpion runs great on them though. It does suck having to base your decision of torch on your oxycon setup. I'm gonna set up a holding tank system and upgrade to a mirage as soon as I can scrape the money together.
