Beautiful powerful song so touching and such great inspiration. Glen.was like an awakening of the heart and mind beautiful soul sent from God to give the masses a little dose of what life is. Means to give as much as u can for duty of mankind in a short space of time, and he did! Rest in eternal peace till God returns and we hopefully meet with u again. Much love to the memory of Glen and his entire family and extended ones as well.

So true, whenever I can really pick his guitar up from the P.Funk wall, he's *exquisite*, and his rhythm is perfect ... The Houston 1977 gig featured here as well is the obvious example. Glenn truly was the King (or Prince) of Pop that wasn't.

I was a child in the 70's and my brother bought a George Clinton album in our house and I was never the same. I studied those albums like books. They were stars in my world. I don't they realized what enjoyment and knowledge they bought to me in the Living Room. Every one on stage had a place and time of greatness. Glenn I never been more inspired by a voice like yours. I know it came from the soul of your being. I wish I could have seen you live. I love listening to you. You blessed the band and sings like me. The band was never the same without you! We are a People with connections to the Most High from which that which we call the funk, soul, rhythm and blues, and all things known and unknown of us and by us flows. What people do you know can do like we do,... And this while still undergoing oppression. That is unless you believe we have arrived at our final destined nation.

The word is ridiculously overused these days, but Glenn was truly amazing. His voice spoke of a being from another world. It was simply too rich, too wise, too soulful, and too moving for someone so young. Paired with his guitar playing and energy, and he really did appear to be an extraterrestrial brotha! I am grateful he landed on the mothership and shared his gifts with us while he stopped by Earth.

But @Kamilah why everything got to be extraterrestrial, is it that hard to believe we as a people formed of the Earth, born of earthly mothers and father's are not capable of divinity. Just tired of the almost religious unbelief in the idea that what's inside us already is connected and capable of manifesting the attributes of what's above. Free your Mind and your assistance will follow. THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS WITHIN.

That guitar at the start, and the first singing he does is epic, I wish there was a more studio version of this simply for quality and length reasons.... And I absolutely adore the summertime track at the end, such a shame he beamed up to the mothership so soon...

Yeah that Summertime tune was a stone hit had it been released. SWINGIN horns n even a muted Glenn is great vocally. His voice literally gits under my skin and always makes my cry. His shit cuts right to yo soul. So too the late great Belita Woods as well.

One of a kind. Awesome singer and a bad ass guitar player too. Greatness being displayed. They didn't sound the same after he passed. This band invented funk and acid rock. Awesome music....T

He brought the church to the "P" when he sang. His gospel-like vocals would take you to church and then baptized you in the funk.I really believe if he held a church service and ask to anyone join the church, he would have some followers. He was the herald of the mighty Mothership.

At 24, dead from some rare "hodgkin's lymphoma" just as he left Parliament to start his own group. Sounds shady to me. We lost one talented brother and it's a damn shame. Thanks for all the great groovin' music and incredible vocals Glen. Thank you Bushtales for posting this great compilation on youtube. Peace!
