You have to unscrew the bottom part and then you can pull a gripp over the tube

im having trouble with my 577. how did you get rid of the fact that you cant dead center the 577 because the handle wont rotate all the way ?

you can but it will be very hard for you to pull focus and operate the glidecam at the same time.

Hi Manny, yes it works also with you plate. But I think for an back is a bit easyser because you can micro adjust over that. But its not a big deal with the DGS. Keep filming and have fun Cheers Stefan
