Aside from the glitch shown here, Wild Strikes is a fantastic all-around AoW. It gives you insane hyper armor while holding l2, which makes you almost impossible to stagger for most enemies, bosses, and players. The R1/R2 follow-ups make it even better with strong physical and poise damage Also, you can throw this on larger weapons like greatswords and great hammers for a quick and reliable way to deal damage in PvE, with wild strikes having a much faster attack speed than r1 attacks with larger weapons. If that isn't enough to convince you, it's even useful in PvP. With the hyper armor gained from using the AoW, you can tank hits that would normally stagger you even with very high poise. Countering a strong and telegraphed attack with Wild Strikes + R1 follow-up has led me to win in situations where I usually wouldn't. I know it's a lot of words, but I can't recommend this AoW enough. It's a main stay on all of my strength builds, and it deserves more attention.

Grab the biggest weapon to put it on, buff it with blood flame. Use ironjar and such like HP on successful hits to become tanky, and you can chainsaw NG+7 bosses. Actually, I wonder if it works with the Butcher Knife since its an axe, and heals on hit.

There is no other condition other than aiming it... So add in the talismans to cap out the damage and the boss will die to "reverse chainsaw".

Btw arcane build wildstrikes will proc any status multiple times, with around 103 for bleed on the base katana not fully maxed, you can proc the bleed buildup 3-4 times and nuke any boss that’s not immune to your chosen status effect and just nuke them.

I have recently learned the joy of easy mogh fights via mogh shackle followed by using a guardian swordspear with spinning strikes and applied blood grease. Made it a hitless fight in under 30 seconds, and didn’t have to re-spec at all going into DLC.

Not just your armor, your weapons can affect it. Anything with weight. It's all about staying under 70% of your total equip load. Arsenal charm talismans can really help with that. Erdtree favor as well, and any talismans that boost your endurance. There's even a tear that greatly increases equip load for 3 minutes I think. Hope this helps!

Here is something for your arousment. I've noticed the same kind of effect with the GUGS while riding Torrent and holding the heavy attack. Kind of a multi hit. Maybe not as great as this, but I've gotten multi hits on multiple enemies just by dragging that big ass sword around. 😂
