Jasper? lol they ship them prefilled with more glitter. From the looks of it, this guy was ignoring signs that the was something wrong for a cery long time. GM uses a trans cooler bypass thermostat that forces the transmission to run too hot. There's a TSB out for both the 6L80 and 8L90 to change that bypass thermostat because they have had issues with getting stuck and cooking the transmission. It's bolt onto the outside of the transmission where the trans fluid lines attach. These transmissions also need to have the fluid changed often. Every 40k miles is what some rebuilders recommend. Definitely dont go 100k like the service schedule says.

Just like with the Nissan Titan. Maybe not same exact issue but, theres a ring on the input shaft that C A N N O T be found as replacement part, you are forced to buy either awhole new 19 thousand dollar tranny or limp what you got over to Nissan and get a new car from them.
