Well you can do this with your transmission fluid drop the pan change the filter if you can, then do this take the fluid you drained out get funnel and clean gallon washer bottle, and get your wifes clean used couple dryer sheets place one them in funnel and pour fluid through used dryer sheet, this way it cleans the fluid A bit and put fluid back in transmission with bit of new fluid to top it off this way transmission will Not have slipping and its changed A bit but Not solid new fluid change, Cause completely New fluid can cause transmission too slip , but with some of old fluid it retains it clutch lock up strength and transmission perform normal i did this and my sonata still shifts awesome

It started in the 90s with the 4.0l SOHC. 4 chains, no timing marks or keyways anywhere.... And oh yeah you need to pull the motor to replace the back chain and time everything with a $300 Ford tool set

How 'bout the 6 hours it took me to replace my Blower Motor on my '13 Ford Escape here. Normally a 30 minute swap (at most) for other vehicles. But no.....that sonabitch is wedged sideways way under the center console that requires removing the whole damn computer. 😓 Those who have swapped one out totally understands the bs it takes to do it. 🤬

Praise you @derekbuilt7761 for having to go through with it, as well. Friggin' had to use my phone (+ flashlight) and magnet wand to get those crazy ass hidden screws behind the actuator vents. 🤦‍♂️ ....Never again INDEED. 💯

My car and toys are 1069,2005, 2009, and 2 2010. I’ve kept them service regularly. I’ve has no problems. But every brand built are all crap now. China is now supplying brand new auto parts to all manufacturers , except Japan. Every new car built after 2012 are junk. Why would you pay 145,000 for a piece of crap mask raiding as a truck? Until all the parts are built by people that hold tolerances. This why they’re all crap. Programming, crappy electronics, crappy parts. Amazon sells parts cheap. But after you install them on your vehicle they will cost much more after. Their all Chinese junk. I spent 45 years in manufacturing. We threw parts away out of tolerance. China throws everything in the box.

You dont need a keyway if you know how to actually time the engine instead of lining up some marks, No1 at the top of the cylinder and inlet and ex cams on ovelap or (on the rock) there all suck, squeeze, bang, blow at the end of the day 😂

I have an ‘01 Ford Ranger with the 3.0L Vulcan V6. It ain’t perfect, but from my DIYer point of view isn’t too bad to work on and doesn’t seem to have quite as many engineering fails. That said, what about modern trucks? Are Chevys engineered better? I’m not brand myopic. Not that I’ll go out and buy a modern truck, but I am genuinely curious.

remember folks car manufactures do this so you are forced to go back to the dealership to buy another car once something in the engine fails etc. and whats stupid is when they decide to use a plastic oil pan which is very stupid and also using rubber belts part of the drive chain as well
