Genuinely want to know opinions.... I am a woman. I work as a mental health counselor and am generally fascinated by popular culture in general. I watch videos sometimes on dating from both a male and female perspective and videos critiquing plastic surgery, the "kardashian" bbl era aesthetics. That being said, I also focus on the area of complex trauma from childhood. I often meet women (and men) who experienced s**ual abuse very young by person (usually a role model) they trusted. They can spend a long time kind of acting on that trauma which can look like a h*e phase.This kind of abuse is CRAZY common. 1 in 9 women experienced s**ual abuse by the age of 18 and most are by men they know. if a woman can work on herself, go to therapy, spend a long time alone, takes genuine care of herself, and/or has a history of long-term monogamy, is she possibly worth having a relationship with or is she forever doomed to be a h*e? Like taking accountability as a woman (or man) for choices in the past... or is it like a woman is a used vehicle with too many miles and therefore a forever lemon and not worthy of a decent man's time, attention, or commitment? Genuinely interested as this kind of abuse for men and women isn't acknowledged very often and could be a mature addition to this dialogue. Would it be a person by person basis, or opinions on this differ from man to man? Women and men who experience this abuse already feel like used trash, this mindset can continue cycles of abuse, silence, and self-hated. I'd love to hear opinions of different men, ages, races, and nationalities/cultures if anyone feels comfortable sharing.

How very interesting. Where to begin. First, where do you get that 1 in 9 women experience abuse by 18? If most are by men they know, then an absolutely huge proportion of men are criminals and that doesn't sound right. It sounds like a number made up by f*minists because they hate men and want everyone else to as well. That said, for high value men, we don't want women with a promiscuous past, regardless of cause (and past trauma makes it worse, not better) because she can't be counted on. The ability to pair bond goes down with each partner: studies have shown this to be true (and it seems to be true for men as well, judging from some of the things I hear them say). Even if she says she's changed: 1) anyone can say that, and 2) how can she be trusted? She'll compare any man she's with to a huge number of exes and he can't measure up to every last one of them. She'll be dissatisfied because of that. However, there are also decent men who are naive who don't understand this and she could find one of them, in theory, and then it's just down to a roll of the dice whether the relationship lasts or not. It could, but the odds are worse than with someone who doesn't have that kind of past and it's just not a sensible choice for someone who has any other options.

I'll share two experiences in two messages. 1) I knew someone who was quite wild in my mid 20s. She was only a little younger at 23. I met her at work. She was an office "go-fer". Bunch of us would go out and she would embarrass the group by letting strangers put their hands up her skirt in bars and would cry that they wanted to take her home but a female coworker would say No Way! I wondered what her life was like when there wasn't these coworkers around. But she was nice at work and we'd go to lunch sometimes in a group and the two. The person sitting across from me looked, dressed and acted totally different. I was the one wrong to judge this person so superficially.

I found it confounding that what caught my eye was now too much and I felt like a hypocrite. I've never done that for anyone but looking at this woman in my bathrobe I thought "There is always a first!" So I asked "How much?" $5,000.00 (in 2003). I was ready for $200-$300 myself. Maybe someone else I could have said OK but instead I told her I didn't have it and I said it icy. She never had time again but I was relieved. Intimacy felt mechanical. She was advertising herself 24x7. She was who she was and to try to make it something it wasn't (a good time only) was asking for a lot of pain. She advertised she was "a little red corvette" but didn't even realize it anymore.
