Hi....I am planing to audition. I am not auditioning cuz I want to see my idols I mean I don't even have idols...not a lot at least anways. I am planning on asking my mother. Cuz thr last time I asked her she said yes but my dad disagreed but now that my dad cannot intervene, I'm going to try my luck again. I've even created a 11 paged slides to why I should audition. I've used your tips and they really helped me a lot. I wanna thank you for that. Anyways I am a bit scared because I don't really fit the Korean beauty standards......I'm brown skinned that's one. But I am confident about my skills. I am auditioning for JYP and I am doing it for the experience so yeahhh. Thank you so much for the information on auditions!! It was very helpful! I have a lot of questions if you or anyone in this comment section wouldn’t mind answering them. I’m sorry for the lengthy comment in advance. I am currently a freshman in high school and have sooo many commitments going on so I don’t think I’d be able to audition this year but I still don’t want to give up the other opportunities if I end up not getting in. I’m currently on my school’s dance team and am in my studio’s classes. I also struggle with Korean and am learning it on Duolingo right now. I definitely need tips regarding Korean and basically any tips people might have on learning Korean fast. I have also been eyeing the backup dancer route for a few months and don’t know which one might be better. I’m in my school’s choir and see myself as a pretty talented vocalist but idk if that really shines through in comparison to my dancing. I also don’t know if there’s a way to try for both and see which one the judges prefer me to do but if that’s possible please tell me. I also struggle a lot with confidence and interactions with new people. I have come to understand that getting acquainted with other audition-ees is very important to make the process more bearable but I always struggle with talking to new people and especially asking questions about things to new people. Although I struggle with the interactions, if anyone comes up to me and talks to me, I usually get comfortable very quick so I just don’t know what to do about getting that kind of process started with others. Any tips about that would be VERY appreciated. I feel this is the area that would most affect me in an audition process. I have also been a theater kid since I was born basically became my mom and her family were super into it and still are, so I have been in a few musicals and have a little experience in what an audition might look and feel like (all my roles were dancing and singing the whole time so I also have experience in that area too). I also don’t know how I’d go about school and possibly the transferring process especially since I don’t know Korean and am NOT fluent at all in it. I also don’t know how I should go about choosing companies to audition for and if I get accepted into multiple how I’d choose between them. I know this matter shouldn’t be solved by an eenie meenie minee moe kinda process. So any tips on this would be amazing! I also don’t have a lot of social media because my mom is quite strict about these things and doesn’t let me have instagram and stuff which is what I’ve come to see is where companies post a lot about their auditions. I also don’t believe that I have as much visuals as others may have and don’t know if that will be a big downfall for me. I also tend to get stuck in the part where I have to choose a song to sing because I don’t exactly know which songs would suit me best and tend to rely on others for that answer. Tips about seeing what could fit me is greatly appreciated and will be put into consideration for any song I any choose. I think I’m gonna stop here with the questions and concerns I have about the process leading up to and the actually audition process. Any tips about really anything for auditions even if I didn’t ask about it is greatly appreciated and I will try my best to use any of the tips at any point. I hope anyone who wishes to audition and become a kpop idol will have the best of luck and as much confidence in themselves as possible. FIGHTING!!

Here’s some tips from someone who is about to go to the final round of WAKEONES global auditions. 1. Do your introductions in Korean. It shows them that you will commit to learning new things and that you will work hard. 2. Prepare at least 2-3 songs that you can sing/dance/rap to so that if you all of a sudden have to change songs for whatever reason you have backup songs. Make sure that you can perform them well. 3. Sing a song from an artist that came from the company that you are auditioning for so the judges can see if you fit the vibe they are looking for. 4. Perform in front of your family and friends so you can get more confident and so they can evaluate you and tell you what to improve. I hope I helped even a tiny bit and good luck! Remember to keep chasing your dreams!❤❤❤
