True worst case scenario is ben in the middle of a pass it on taking a familiar dish to the normal then putting a twist on it they will never know. Sometimes I think he does it on purpose to make a more entertaining video but he also seems like the sort of person that can't just have a simple nice meal, like a burger and chips for example, without putting some weird twist on it that actually takes away from what would have been a simply tasty dish. As he says himself "less is more" and I think he needs to learn that lesson as much as the normals.

@@reluctanttechnologist3766 As very much a normal I can say Ben is the least relatable there. I can relate to Kush and James because while they are chefs and have the same passion for food as ben, they also know the limits of a normal home cook and understand what we like in our food. They are able to relate to the average person in a way ben can't. I just feel like if Ben wants the team to succeed in a pass it on then he should restrict himself from going to areas of cooking that only the other chefs will understand.

Love these! For the scoring, you should have the first person rate 1-10 as a base, then the next person can give a +/- modifier depending on if they think they made it better or worse. Would be interesting to see what the dish's end score/10 would be compared to what they think it should get at the end. For example: First person gets to the end of their time and scores themself an 8. Next person comes in, assumes a score based on what they see. Then at the end of their time they really made a mess of it and gives a -2 modifier. So dish is now a 6 Next person kills it and gives themselves a 3. Dish is a 9 Last person flubs and gives a -1. Dish is an 8/10 And see if they think that score holds true once they try it.

If someone would have said 13 years ago that the school teacher will be much more traveled than the footballer and ski instructor I wouldn't have believed it. This channel has changed their lives so much and also provided a platform for them to just explore and learn and then teach and share with us. PS - I have never made ramen, but I have watched enough sorted to know this, even I was shouting at my screen when Jamie didn't strain the broth. Even when Jamie is "ZEN" he Spaffs the dish, such a natural talent🥺🥺🤌

They did it! ignoring the small oversight of not straining the broth that is a massive win. Maybe they have learned each person doesn't need to add their own element, and the sum can be more. Also zen Jamie is fantastic, love to see more!

Spaff, aside from the straining incident, I think you did great! You tasted all the ingredients, tried your best to balance it, added a bunch of the ingredients, and plated it in an appealing way. On top of that, you remembered a bunch of these unusual ingredients as well as their flavour characteristics; probably because you like snacking on everything in these challenges. 😅 I enjoyed your energy!

I'll forgive the not straining the broth since I've done the exact same thing and just soldiered on

They need to go back to 2 chefs in these. It's Ben doing 80% of the work in 10 minutes and then the normals taking it back to 70% in half an hour.
