My husband and I had the privilege of meeting and talking with these wonderful people for some time and we are so happy that people like themselves are doing such amazing things! We gained so much just from talking to them.

Classical examples of "Sustainability" - using & improvising what is already available to you instead of buying endlessly. Love the fact that they try growing new fruits / veges. Inspiration to all !! Happy gardening all.

I can remember my mother's garden, it was a jungle haven! she had all sorts of plants growing and she just loved to cook her veg! I can remember starting growing my own flowers and herbs and my mum would come round so excited, like as if I had given birth to one..lol, but seeing all these flowers and the way they have made such a small garden into pure natural beauty just reminds me of my mothers home.

@rmehta136 жыл бұрын
All curries can be made vegan , if you use oil/ vegan butter instead of ghee, tofu instead of paneer , soy milk instead of milk , you get the idea. Search "VeganRicha.com" has vegan recipes.

That was just a sampling of the things you can grow that thrive here in Central Texas. The one thing I did not see what Phalsa (Grewia asiatica) which absolutely thrives and makes wonderful tart berries similar to blueberries. It is from India.

I read that it'd be wiser for environment to only plant the native plants 🌱, which these couple do. The local fruits and flowers and herbs they mentioned sound amazing.There's apparently a good book on the merit of planting native plants, titled Bringing Nature Home by Douglas W. Tallamy. Will look to it soon.

I see 90% of the backyards in Austin and central Texas are just grass and dry. And I heard from everyone that soil in Austin doesn’t allow you to grow anything. I am surprised how they can grow? Did they used lot of top soil ? How to meet them or contact them ?

Well, as you call it Sadifa in Northern India, in south it's called Sitaphal. If you say Sadifa/sarifa in south, ppl will go what in the world is it?
