I'm not going to mince words. The GCN boys were INCREDIBLE. OK, maybe I'll carry on a bit more. 😮 Sometimes, because of their self-depricating humor, us viewers may lose track of how amazing the GCN presenters are as cyclists. Even Ollie fakes us out as he is a climbing sensation. That's all I have to say. Carry on.

Wow, what an effort by GCN! My "go to" ride is a 9 mile loop and very flat. Wind is the biggest variable on the ride. That said, my time can vary by two minutes. The GCN team should be proud of their effort, not to mention, GCN probably has a couple years on these young pros. I also appreciate the pro's for playing along.

That was a good challenge. The GCN team sound train together for a month (2-3 times a week) and see if they could close that gap. This would show several things: the importance of team familiarity and how to maximize team strengths (and hide weaknesses). My guess is that you could cut the gap in half.

Fair play, on similar spec' bikes that you are more familiar with/fitted to, and a few days training as a team I bet you could have gone under the 1 minute mark. I did have to chuckle at Si banging on about those handlebars, only to cut the pros where 2/3 aren't using them LOL.
