Do you think the current Canadian government respects you more? Wait... In Canada, International Students received money from the government to pay for their tuitions - thought loans that are written off because they leave the country and never come back once they graduate. Oh yes, that money is paid and sponsored by Canadians taxpayers without their approval - only one man on top made this decisions without any democratic support.. In Canada, if you are Canadian, you pay for health care, there is no free health care in Canada, that is an illusion. Canadians pay for their own medicines if they are over 25 and have no private insurance. NOT IF YOU ARE on working visa, a refugee claimant, an international student, and on humanitarian grounds application ---- for them is all 100% FREE! In Canada if you are Canadian your chances of getting a job position are lower in percentage wise, compare to non-Canadians due to all discrimination laws and legislations passed during the last 10 years. Thats right, if you are born in Canada, you are at the bottom, paying taxes and supporting those that are just arriving. In Canada, DENTAL INSURANCE is PRIVATE - but if you are a newcomer on any ground then is FREE. In Canada, if you are a NEWCOMER on any ground, you get social welfare assistance up to $1600 CAD a month, + Housing Subsidy $1000 CAD, + Food and Recreation subsidy +500 CAD , Transportation Subsidy $200 CAD, plus + FREE EDUCATION in post-secundary institutions, per month per ADULT HEAD. Children ALSO receive $800 CAD Welfare assitance + all of the above minus 40%. On top of this children receive an extra $600 CAD per month as a Federal Child Subsidy. Guess what is the result, is simply - newcomer parents do not feel like going out for work because they do not need to. All they have to do is make more children... and booya you got the lottery. GUESS WHO PAYS FOR ALL OF THIS? thats right - CANADIANS and PERMANENT RESIDENTS who work hard and pay their taxes. BUT if they apply for those benefits, they are DISQUALIFIED just for the only reason of being born in CANADA. SO smart boy, where is your justice? AMERICAN POLITICIANS at least say it like it is... good or bad.. but they say it out loud - at least for now.. lets see!

The discussion centers around the actual loss of Canada's independence and sovereignty, which I see as a "Belarusization" of Canada. The pressing question is: who would take on the role of Lukashenko in this scenario? From my perspective, Trump’s goal is to achieve this through a trade war-crushing Canada’s economy and then acquiring devalued assets at a bargain. While it’s clear this would harm the U.S. economy and its citizens too, it seems that Trump is indifferent to these consequences, just as he appears to disregard the suffering of Canadians. This reminds me of Putin’s tactics in Ukraine before 2014, when he worked to bring Yanukovych to power, take control of the country’s assets, and shape its politics. We all know where that led-a major war once Ukraine refused to integrate into the "Russian world." The question now is: will Canadians be willing to embrace MAGA and its implications? Frankly, it’s a bleak outlook. I believe the border issue is just a pretext-Putin had plenty of similar excuses during his time. Let’s not fall into the trap of thinking Canadians can buy the way out of this situation. Just like with Putin’s actions in Ukraine, I feel that Trump is aiming for total control. The choice seems stark: either Canada quickly surrenders , as Georgia did in 2008, or unites and prepares for a long, tough fight.

Americans might learn from Britain's long experience about tarrifs and the damage they can do. After Waterloo and the defeat of Napoleon in 1815, the 'Corn Laws' were voted in by the rich landowners - these were high tarrifs designed to protect wealthy farmers from cheaper foreign wheat imports. The tarrifs artificially raised the price of bread - so for 30 years, the poorest suffered at the hands of wealthy landowners and resulted in regular riots and unrest. The rich landowning minority had guaranteed incomes but the economy in general was depressed until the laws were at last repealed by 'Free Traders' - that was when the industrial revolution took on renewed vigour. Trade is not a zero sum game, if done efficiently everyone benefits and standards of living rise. Tarrifs on China is another matter - the CCP subsidizes manufacturing by commandeering the chinese citizen's savings and can thus gain huge economies of scale. America will need friends to counter this. Trump is unwisely attacking his longest standing allies - they will be forced to respond with 'tit for tat' reactions and a lot of fruitless bickering will distract people while the average American and Canadian will see rapid price rises - self inflicted inflation for little, if any, long term benefit. Canada's failure to adequately fund defence is a separate but pressing matter. They have a lot of catching up to do which is going to make it more expensive than it need have been had they tackled the issue sooner. The brontosaurus in the room is Climate Change - increasingly ferrocious hurricanes, floods and wildfires are no joke and the insurance industry is already beginning to buckle under the pressure. Uninsurable buildings might become the norm.
@Anatomy_Prof12 күн бұрын
easy to get to 2%.. count things that other countries consider defence spending. Count the RCMP budget, count the coast guard, count all road costs in the north and count the cost to run and maintain airports.
