I was searching for Glock 35 for 8 months and i finally was able to purchase one from my local gun store. I've always wanted a 4 in 1 type of gun where you can just swap out the barrels and shoot with another caliber rounds. Its a cool concept and very convenient because you don't need to buy more guns, just use all in one G35. But once you become a Glock fanboy you'll end up buying more than just one anyways. Next thing you know, you're wearing a T-shirt that says "will work for ammo" LOL.

Good vid. I am planning on getting a g35 next with this conversion. I have a g23 with the 9 conversion. And magpul mags never failed me out of the 100s of rounds shot.

I've seen similar conversions and those videos recommend getting a spring made for the 9mm.

You’re more than welcome to get a new spring but I’m sticking with original spring because Glock 34 (9mm) comes with the same spring as Glock 35. As soon as I saw Glock 34 (9mm) at sportsman’s warehouse I had to check out the spring number that is stamped at the end of guide rod. Turns out they are the same for both guns 5579-1. Now I know for sure that both guns use the same spring weight and guide rod. If you get a lighter spring weight let me know how your gun shoots. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Yes that's correct but what they (Glock) didn't initially know was that the stiffer spring from the Glock 35 was causing issues in the 34. That's why they later issued a voluntary recall or exchange to a lighter spring rate. The stiffer recoil spring from the 35 was causing the 34 to not cycle properly with certain ammo. The 9mm didn't have the pressure to cycle the slide due to a recoil spring meant for a .40 cal. Your mileage may vary but it would be worth looking into it if you plan to use it for home defense.

Btw, the agency I work for issued the Glock 35 for years until we recently switched to the Glock 45 9mm. The G35 is the best shooting sidearm I've ever fired. Once our agency transitioned to the 9mm, they gave us the option to buy our G35. I wouldn't normally do it but it's the sidearm I used throughout the entire time I was on SWAT so it has sentimental value to me. In addition, our agency logo is laser engraved on top of the slide and it also has a special serial number the starts with our agency abbreviation. So there's also the collector aspect as well, but I seriously doubt I'll ever sell it.

@@unherdac I fell in love with Glock 35 because its a Lego gun that can be converted to other caliber ammo. I could of bought Glock 34 or 17 but I wanted one with conversion barrel. Not planning on concealed carrying it but it’s definitely my primary home defense firearm. Glad you bought your sidearm, surely it has a sentimental value with engraving and all, and besides, if your life depended on it, it’s definitely a keeper. Maybe your kids will inherit it some day, indeed a cool inheritance to remember you by.

You didn’t have to change the ejector or extractor?

No Sir. My original extractor worked great ejecting 9mm casings so I didn’t bother changing out ejector. I’m using 9mm conversion barrel for target practice but for home defense I use .40 cal. In other words, even if my ejector starts acting up during target practice and fails to extract casings, it’s no big deal. As long as you convert it back to original parts, it’s all good. What mags did you use?

I used low capacity 10 round mags (Commiefornia standard). Mag is actually from Glock 17 9mm and it fits like a glove.

It's the same size as a 1911. Why can't you carry it?

I mean, why would someone conceal carry it when there are so many other compact handguns to choose from? Unless you are allowed to open (constitutional) carry than I envy you for living in a free state. Personally I prefer Glock 19 but to each their own I guess. Thanks for watching and commenting. You can definitely carry this concealed. This was my first concealed carry, and yes, you're correct. It's the same size as a full-size 1911. I carried it just fine without printing, and I felt great having a stock pistol that came with a competition trigger pull and a longer barrel, which personally allowed me to be more accurate with less effort.

Would this barrel fit in a glock 21?

There’s a high chance that it will fit your Glock 21 but the barrel will be sticking out and it will probably be too loose so I’m not sure how accurately it will shoot. I think your gun only takes two types of conversion barrels 10mm and S&W.40 I would ask those experts who sell them online. Good luck.
