My son and I picked ours up, about a year ago, from Big 5 Sporting Goods for around $169 after discounts and sale prices. Our location was scheduled to stop sales of all rifles and shotguns just weeks later due to California regulations that corporate is not interested in bending backward for. Installed an ATI Tactical shotgun stock and the gun has been flawless and a joy to shoot!👍

You inspired me. In your opinion, what’s the max length each gate can be, without sagging?
@balabay7716 күн бұрын
To be honest I don’t really know what’s the maximum length before gates start sagging but my gates are 12 feet wide in total length. Each gate is 6 feet wide and I haven’t seen any signs of sagging yet. If you reinforce it with horizontal or diagonal braces (rectangular tubing) I bet it will hold up pretty well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers 🍻

How much did you spend on the materials?
@balabay77Ай бұрын
I had some square tubing left over from my first project so basically this fence (in this video) came out to approximately 2 thousand dollars in materials. During pandemic prices jumped significantly on metal and wood so building a fence was a costly endeavor. Not sure what the prices are right now but I bet it’s still not cheap to fabricate this type of fence. To hire someone to do this job will cost 3 times as much. Anyways, thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers 🍻

No sir, the picket boards originally were not treated. I just stained them with weather guard from Home Depot. Stained wood looks much better I think. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I am building an almost exact fence like yours because of this very video and I appreciate y'all publishing it with so many details. My question is about the hinges. Are you saying the pointy end will go in the gab between the posts? I was thinking you used the pointy ends as the place where you're going to weld it to the post? Thank you for the feedback so far along from when y'all built the fence.
@balabay77Ай бұрын
Yes that’s exactly what I did. The pointy ends of the hinges were wedged in between the post and the gate and I just tack welded the top and the bottom hinge in place and once they looked even, I made a final pass on the outside of the fence and then on the inside between the post and gate. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Which 125cc did you get? Did it come with everything you needed or did you have to order carb, starter, and other things? I’ve been looking at the 125’s on Amazon but don’t know which is better or which comes with everything you need. Let me know if there’s a name on it. Thanks, and that’s coooler than cold man!
@balabay772 ай бұрын
The first motor I bought from Amazon it was defective. When I installed it, the motor itself ran fine but the second and third gears ⚙️ were not engaging so I returned it. Swapped it for another one and it worked great. Unfortunately it was a fully automatic motor so it only had 3 gears ⚙️ forward and one in reverse. I would recommend getting a manual motor without reverse. It should be a little faster than automatic. As far as Amazon goes, you can pretty much buy it and if it doesn’t work then you can exchange it for another one so buy it with confidence. And yes, my engine came with everything including the wiring harness and carburetor. Good luck and thanks for watching and commenting.

Do you ever use aluminum instead of steel for rust prevention?
@balabay772 ай бұрын
If I knew how to weld aluminum then maybe I could have used it in other applications. There’s more involved when it comes to welding aluminum. Also, aluminum is more expensive than steel so it’s not cost effective to use it in a project like this.

Is a 14/21 the best gear ratio for the best top speed , mine is a 4 speed so i want and even medium between top speed and torque but i dont mind buying the top speed rear sprocket to test , what would be best ?

Hey man great vid, do you have any way of showing how you you wired your engine up. I’m having issues with finding a decent diagram
@balabay772 ай бұрын
My wiring came with connectors so it was basically plug and play type of deal. I didn’t have to mess with it. Maybe just buy new wiring harness and it will save you some headache? It’s not that expensive on Amazon or EBay. Good luck 👍

No, this floor jack is ready to go right out of the box. I’ve had it for a while and so far it works great. The only downside is it’s kinda heavy to load in a truck bed. Other than that, it rolls just fine on the ground. Thanks for watching and commenting.

You never said what the width of the gates were. I assume they were 2 meter frame gates each. Total span width 4 meter car DOOR port opening.
@balabay773 ай бұрын
When I was making my game, I wanted it to be wide enough for a full size truck or trailer to fit so I cemented the main square posts where I wanted them to be. Make sure they are perfectly vertical because if they are not vertical then you’ll have issues with your swing gates. Distance between my main posts are 12 feet 4 inches ( 3.75 meters). Then you have to figure out each gate size. I left about 1/4 inches (6.35mm) of space between posts (just enough space for hinges to fit and function properly. Then you’ll need 1/4 inches (6.35mm) of space in the middle, between each fence frame. There’s no right or wrong way of doing your fence when it comes to measurements. You can make them to your preferred preference and if you are worried about structural integrity then you can reinforce them with several cross braces and maybe add one more hinge. I’m pretty sure 3 hinges would work great. Good luck with your project and let me know how it turns out.
