I have both, I love both. But trust me, when carrying in hot climates like miami, the small difference makes a HUGE difference.

Thank you so much for comparing these two guns. I was really hooked on the 42 because of its size, but you really showed me that the 26 isn't really too much bigger and has a much bigger magazine capacity. I appreciate it. :)

They both have their pros & cons.The 42 is easier concealed & has the thinner grip,but I'd have to go with the 26 mostly because of the higher ammo capacity.Both guns are nice.

This is true, I noticed the same thing, G42 would be the greatest gun if it was in 9mm - there is no doubt about it. :)

Nice review, thanks! Though I lust for smaller (and new toys!), I can still carry my G19 all day without a problem, and have the benefit of the longer sight radius/barrel, and the 15rd mag... so... I'll just keep lusting after the new toys and stick with what I have. Enjoy!

I love them both, minimum recoil, very good grip feel...

is it dumb for me to think that the 380 is good for me i have carpel tunnel but the 9mm round is a little to poppy so i carry 380 and they are the same size in diameter same whole size is that a stupid way to think? i know 9mm is faster and penetrates more but you know what i mean i feel like careying a 380 rather than a 9mm your losing recoil but also losing ammo but i think their both pretty much the same if i have to use a 380 i feel like its going to do same damage as 9mm is that wrong for me to think?

I believe Iraqveteran8888 did a video that shows that Glock actually went back and did some fine tuning on the G42. So there are some potential design flaws with that initial wave of 42's. It's a gun I almost bought, but when compared to other 380s it's a bit oversized. I'm sure it's still a good gun, though. I like my Sig P238. It may be a single-action only, but it's smaller and very easy to shoot. I love my G26, though. But at the end of the day it comes down to what you're comfortable with carrying and shooting. The G42 and G26 are still both very good options.

That mag loader is actually pretty good for loading the mags until the springs get broken in.

Thanks for this video, it was great to see the side by side comparisons and the shooting all in one place.

Excellent video. Great pistols. I prefer the G26. If the G42 was chambered in 9mm, it would be on my wish list. Nice gun, but too large to be a .380 (imho). Thank you for the comparison.

I own a Glock 26 g4. I was thinking about purchasing the G42. But its about the same specs compared to my Kahr PM9. I believe that the .380 is a deadly caliber. But I have in small pocket .380's like my Kel-Tec P3AT and Ruger LCP. Therefore its not worth buying it for me. Good Video.

Were you able to diagnose the issue you were having with the 42?
@2SF04510 жыл бұрын
I had two different kind of ammo, the one with FTE was the reloads I bought on the internet, other ammo I have used was new PMC and it was great without any issues, flawlessly... Looks like 42 will not feed the reloads, I have tried 3 different types of reloads and none of them worked for me...

The G42 is a mouse gun. Not that its a small gun, but that is all it can kill....mice. People....if you're going to buy a gun....buy a REAL gun. ** cue the comments from G42 owners trying to justify their pea shooters **

I do not own a Glock 42, and personally I wouldn't carry anything smaller than a 9mm. Generally I carry a full size in a shoulder rig under my shirt because it's what I'm comfortable with. However, a 380 is adequate for self defense, and is 100% better than carrying nothing at all. If you in fact believe a 380 is that anemic, then all I can say is you are a fool and I hope someone doesn't take your comment literally and hurt someone. From my own experience, anything all the way down to a pellet rifle can be deadly in the hands of: A) someone trained and proficient, or B) a complete idiot who has an accident. Accidents with firearms that people have dubbed "underpowered" or "children's guns" are the leading cause of accidental firearms deaths.
