My question is I'm looking for a good spinning rod . Mostly bank fishing, crappie, bluegill, smaller 5lb channel cats and ocationally we hook into a nice bass, and occasionally walleye fish but I only need maybe 3 rods. What would you suggest ?

American legacy fishing had a used NRX+ 901, 902, and Conquest 902 on sale for like $440 and $460. I Picked up the NRX+ 901, and it definitely seems to be stiffer than the original.

If you ever get the chance to check it out, a Millerods FinesseFreak has a lot of similarities with these two rods at a cheaper price. Fantastic sensitivity. Almost the same specs also. I use it for neds, small soft plastics on jigheads, hair jigs, and dropshot. And it has a multi-loading action and handles small treble hook baits fantastically too. Designed by Carl Jocumsen

I have 902 plus and I remember I talked to you before about what throw and I’ve used it all year now, compared to the original the 902 it’s a feels more stiff, I have 901 as well and comparing them they’re def more stif. I took your advice to try smaller swimbaits, but I normally throw neds or spy baits on it also does really well for hair jigs!

@@rich5916 so actually the rod does so great with small hooks, I’ve been doing a lot of swimbait and ned rig stuff since I got it and it’s probably the two things I love it the most for, the rod was made to fish small trebles so it really just takes the head shakes like a champ, It also feels very crisp

Would love to grab a 902 or 872 for walleye fishing. Even though they’re medium power, they seem to be rated like a medium light. Would the 901 be too light for 1/16-1/4oz jigs and neds? Would the 902 still be able to throw 1/16oz neds?
