Here's my theory as to what was going on with Natsuki at the end: We know she was underfed in the OG game. Like her parents don't love her or they were too poor to afford any food. So for some reason she became a cannibal, and I think that's what caused her insanity. It seemed like she wanted to eat MC, but she started to care about him. So what happened? This probably has 2 possibilities, a good one and a bad one. The bad (and probably most obvious one) is Monika corrupting her. We all know she's self aware and can mess with the other girls, so maybe that's what she's doing here. She probably didn't like how Nat was caring for MC, so she decided to punish her by taking away her memory, but then restore her to her cannibalistic persona. OR maybe in a nice twist, MC saved her. So she's a cannibal in this mod, that's what makes her insanely obsessive and wants to eat MC. So by giving her lots of real food, she probably ate a bit of it. That probably brought her back to reality, she couldn't remember him because she was corrupted when she met him. So he basically, and unknowingly managed to free her from her own insanity, he undid the damage that broke her. Now he just has to find a way to uncorrupt the other girls. This might actually be a good route.

Dear Anne I can't even imagine how difficult it is to work on such a heavy in many ways project. He's definitely good, even frighteningly good. It seems to me that the process of working on this mod can take something in return for such quality. I would risk to say that while working, you sometimes have to look at the world through the eyes of the protagonist. And frankly, it's very scary. What he is experiencing is hell. And if you have to adopt even a little of these feelings, then I will not be able to enjoy this work, while it causes you pain. You are a talented writer and a very interesting person. The way Natsuki suddenly acted like herself but didn't seem to know who MC is, added with clearly declining MC sanity over all those episodes, begs the question of how much of reliable narrator MC is ? How much of what *we* or more of what *he* sees can we take as factual ? Could it be that some of the things we saw never even happend ? Were all we watching a man spiraling into insanity ? It would be a neat twist, fitting into "unperfect" world, described at the end of the video, in a sense this reminds me a lot of Lighthouse from 2019 in which we see characters played by Dafoe and Patterson descent into madness being stranded on that Lighthouse, with only booze and their supplies spoiled. The movies ambigous and as it progresses, there too, we have to question reliability of narrator, what is true ? And also just like Part 9, the ending is open to an open interpretation...perhaps there was some inspiriation from it ? But then ? What was the primer of insanity here ? Eh...i suppose it doesn't really matter Well...end of the line... Anne It was a journey that i don't think i'll forget, it was just... I can't even describe it But all that theorizing, speculating, trying to understand meaning behind your video's with everyone It was just something else But well...i suppose all things come to an end, but i don't carry regret, i don't think anyone carriers it, i think we all understood it was bound to happen eventually. I must say Anne. Every single one of your videos that I have watched. All the mods. They were absolutely incredible. Behind the screen I'm not exactly a social person. There's a lot of things that people my age will have done by now which I haven't. Our mock exams we did about a month ago didn't go well either. I remember like yesterday the day I knew your channel, totally by chance, and your series "Insanely Obsessive Yanderes" was the first series (and first video) that I had seen of you. It's really interesting, my adventure with you started with "Insanely Obsessive Yanderes", and today it ends (on youtube , at least for the moment) with this same series. The loop is closed! Like you, I was really not well mentally, but for different reasons, and I had decided to take a year off to recover mentally, and to rebuild what I had lost a long time ago: -A social circle -Self-confidence -Passion -Discovery Thanks to you (the messages contained in your mods and our discussions), I was able to find the motivation and the courage to achieve this, I found the desire to rebuild links, to repair broken or damaged links, to to do new activities, to surpass myself. And for that, even though I don't know you in real life, I would be forever grateful. And I'm really happy that you can now distance yourself from all that, because I know only too well the impact it has on you... And I completely agree with your corrector, don't force yourself to come back to youtube if you don't feel, it would probably be mentally disastrous for you... That ending was really sudden and unrealistic. Makes me think how insane the protagonist is, and makes me wonder if what we're told in this story is what's actually going on in reality. If i had to interpret it, Monika probably removed Natsuki's memory after seeing how she cared for protagonist. This series really is crazy and the most scariest and insane thing i've seen. It makes the original DDLC look like kindergarten daycare compared to everything that happened here. I really like the series and want more parts, you should probably do a part 10 and end it there. I can still remember the first day i watched part 1. It was after my exam week and made me feel the same with original doki doki game. I can still remember those lines about rape and rape victims "thats how those poor children felt". Im sure no one has seen me before as I have been a silent viewer all this time. And this will probably be the only time I will ever make my presence due to the message conveyed in this video. I have been watching for around 6 months and it has been an incredible journey for me, watching all of your videos. Its hard to understand most of the messages conveyed in most of your videos like this one, but I feel like I got most of it down. First of all, I want to personally thank you for conveying these messages and themes throughout your videos because I know you’ve help at least one person. I was one of those people since I myself have had my head in a dark place for quite a while. I will admit its really hard typing this and I might jump around to different topics for no reason, so I’ll try to get straight to the point. You have made me think a lot and help me discover myself as well. Im a person who bottles up my emotions and I know its wrong to do but I don't know how to stop. Im just trying to keep up an image and want everyone to see that I’m doing ok and nothing is wrong with me. Im trying to put up an image to tell everyone, “hey! Look at my smile! I’m just another guy happy with their life!” It sucks so much. Sorry for trying to make this about me, but I can also relate to your KZbin problem. I was a KZbinr for about one month and I saw the amount of stress it put me in. The comments were relentless, they were demanding, they were cruel. There was a small amount of people who actually helpful and I guess in a way “good.” I couldn’t deal with it anymore, so I just decided to delete it. Given your current mental state, I can understand and I hope everyone of your viewers can understand why you stop posting. I honestly want the best for you and I hope you can recover from whatever you’re going through. Anne, You have truly made some of the best mods of this game by far. heck the progression of your editing/ modding ability is freaking impressive. I remember back when I saw your first "DDLC but the Dokis are crazy" mod and I saw the passion and effort that went into it and a lot of your other videos, even your NNN video and I know how you feel about that stuff in DDLC And on that note, I do have to agree with where you stand on that front, all of those sex appeal mods bog down what made the OG game so great in the first place, a phycological horror game Disguised as a typical dating sim visual novel which exposed it's dark underside the more you play it with a bittersweet-at-most ending. All that these sex appeal mods do is undermine who the characters are to "swoon over hot girls," and that is a spit in the face imo, if you want to jack off Rule34 and The Hub exist my guy, bring it and leave it there. People like you Anne, however, understand what DDLC truly is and respect that, creating awesome mods like this one or "The Walking Doki," even the FNF mod stayed true to this (it also just got a 'Bad Ending' update recently if you're interested), heck you bring some heavy symbolism to your mods which I'll touch on again later. But if someone doesn't want to make 'horror' content per se, that's fine by me as long as they respect the original game like in the "7 years later" mod Sayori STILL went through a depressive state and tried to take her own life, or how the creator Just Art makes wholesome animations using the Dokis while keeping them true to they were in the game (or as close as they can, she makes pretty good stuff btw, I'd recommend checking her out as well) All in all, I understand why you chose to take a break from the community, if you have some things behind the scenes of which your dealing with, then all that bad stuff ain't going to help. I do infact wonder if you add symbolism of mental health to your mods like "Unready to Party" or "Innocent" as a way to vent your frustrations, regardless, I Will support you all the way my guy, and I'm not the only one who will do so. I guess Natsuki pretended to forget MC because she didn't want to Monika to do something with her because she teamed up with MC but it depends on how exactly Monika had corrupted everyone to this: did she made them insane so they are just insane or she made them insane so they want to make MC to suffer, because if it's first, Natsuki still can pretend that she isn't acting like normal and Monika won't do anything because... well, it works, she is acting really strange, what she wants Natsuki to do, dance a polka? But if it's second one that's not the case because Monika's corruption obviously doesn't work and she needs to recover Natsuki's corruption because Natsuki cured from it(anyways she is cured from insanity but we don't know if Monika restored it). We actually won't get next part probably so here's my thoughts on what can happen next: 1. MC builds a team. Here's my thoughts on what this team will be like(yes, this can be really annoying) MC(obviously), MAYBE Mio, bacause I think that it's possible that she is not alive anymore because walking in dark is dangerous ya know there are some Monikas walking on the streets, MAYBE Natsuki, because we are not sure what happened with her in this episode, MAYBE Sayori, here's how: the key will be spending time together, but MC also tells what happened with Natsuki and, of course, Sayori doesn't want to let MC go because she is yandere like everyone but MC tells her that Monika can come soon and they stop playing videogames or something they did and leave the house, MC goes to Mio's house with Sayori without saying where they are going, Sayori is like: "wait wha-" and MC immediately explains everything about Natsuki and Sayori to Mio and maybe on the way to Mio's house if Natsuki is actually rescued from insanity she catches up to the gang. Ok I barely explained the team now on something what will happen next: the Doki Doki gang will go to the club and MC will be like: "hi I brought some new club members" now I need to explain that since everyone is kinda psychotic here, I have never met psychopaths in my life but in movies and everything like here I think that main characters are wrong when they don't play by psychos rules because it's, well, kinda dangerous imo and I don't remember MC here playing by anyone's rules aside from that one part when he turned into Monika's dog but he had no choice here so now to explaining what happens next, so plot twist, MC actually wrote a poem and now the team is trying to convince Yuri in a POEM BATTLE and they succeed and there goes two ways: first, you go aw- I mean, 1) Yuri joins, 2) Yuri commits eating donut also there can be an FNF battle if they do not succeed, which is as unlikely as not convincing Yuri so we carefully make convincing or FNF battle 100% possible while Monika can't understand anything, so after the battle(s) Monika is like: "Candy. >[> means that the next sentence is going to be next message] You are stupid what the hell you are actually doi-" and MC is like: "you know what I am actually joining the club and I also forgive you" Monika will say that she didn't ask for forgiving and MC will say: "*sorry*, but I didn't ask if you are sorry" and then the team will say: "Give up" multiple times like and Monika will be: "ok I don't care anymore you all are so annoying do what you want" and then they do some punishment but not as brutal like in MC's dog dream but I can't come up with the punishment so ignore this. Also I have 69% on my phone while I write this. But that's the first version of Team ending, maybe Monika won't be stupid and corrupt everyone to make MC suffer or more likely delete everyone because after teamwork like that it will be really hard to but I don't know what happens next in that case and it's unlikely too because the team was REALLY annoying and Monika is so annoyed that she doesn't even wants to deal with MC anymore and she will even give up and go into the asylum, of course MC will sometimes visit here there to come to see her... to see her suffer, but that's the first possible ending, now I should mention that this ending is possible if any of the MAYBEs is in team, now onto the second ending. 2) Complete suffering. This mod is actually a little bit mysterious, and we may not know everything but we know that MC is complete LOSER, so Monika can do anything or everything is just bad: Natsuki actually forgot MC(Natsuki always was the most immune to Monika or Monika just cared about her the least even in DDLC because she is the least attractive to MC from beginning and she doesn't need to do anything with her so Monika just messes up with her memory because there's no need in her) and doesn't want to help him because thinks that he is crazy, Sayori doesn't want to team up with MC, she becomes true yandere and MC escapes, streets were too dangerous for Mio to survive because of too big amount of Monikas(1 exactly), and MC probably just lose in this ending and dies to Yuri or Monika(Sayori is annoyed by MC. 3) No Team No Problems. Idk why I made it into the 3rd ending if I could write it into a second one. No more games. No more poe- or maybe actually some poems. In this episode Monika was waaaaay too good in writing a poem, so... Maybe it's something that will help when she is too bothered about it? Anyways, poem battle! Yuri will say that it's beautiful probably, and Monika will break up and give up(the poem MC write was actually good) but Yuri doesn't care and tries to kill MC so Monika takes action and no Yuri! Note is that poem should be really special here, I don't know what exactly should be here, maybe something about world's cruelness BUT no boohoos from MC like why and help me please I'm so poor, this poem will be very confident, because this episode is in a version of obsession mod where MC rages instead of being in fear, so it will be very aggressive complaining about world's cruelness but yet it will have beautiful coolness-epicness in it so Monika will give up and will say something: "Your thoughts are just like mine. I think you understand me like no one else" and there will be actually chance that MC will forgive Monika this one time because this was his goal this time. He wanted to convince Monika so maybe even no punishment for Monika this time. Finally I wrote that I don't even know why I did that but... CONGRATS! you have read this chaos, go to the literature club or something I'm sure everyone will like you there

This feels like a good place to stop. We got a "good ending". It was very sudden and weird but it kinda fits in a weird way? In my headcanon either MC is just a raving lunatic who has a brief moment of clarity in this end or it's the classic it was all a dream. I mean either way MC breaks into Natsukis house so it's safe to say that they're not a well adjusted individual. But I can at least take solace in that in the world of the story and of course the real world in a very meta sense none of what happened was real.

It wasn't the most disgusting or skin crawling, but it was by FAR the creepiest one yet, in my opinion. Well, i'm not reading all 188 comments here again, and i don't know if you will ever read this, but allow me to share my perspective. * My words could be misleading. If you are easily provoked by bad words, i am very sorry, please do not continue reading. * I thought this series was over, at part 7th. But you continued, for whatever reason i don't know, but i'm here anyway because i can't ignore a literary work. Time flies by, things changes, so does your story's flow and "horror level". My opinion? I won't say unnecessary thing here. Instead.... I talked about doing favorite stuff only when you love it. What i'm saying, of course, is only my perspective. But i feel like you are holding back. ... ... ... No, more like, you no more trying to entertain viewer by any mean necessary. Now you truly write story the way you can enjoy (at least at this moment of your life). Your feeling, experience in life, you borrowed them to make this so heart-touching. Was it for entertainment? or for sending message? or for proving yourself? Now i still feel your characteristic in this work. For story, still novel quality, no less. For horror level... well no more dramatic effect, no semi-monochrome theme, no jumpscare, no mental play. Wait, no jumpscare? Don't get me wrong. For example... * When you introduce character "Mio", you use dark red color for her dialogue, indicate she could be dangerous. And... yes... quite expectable. * When you set foot into classroom where you meet teacher for first time, that room was dark, giving the feeling no one should be there. That made me go cautious again, thinking this teacher can "backstab" you any moment. So what make it as good as entire series although it's seemly different? It's the fact that your story could be happening in real life, with anyone. It's no longer about visual, because life can be as horrific as it can get. This time you don't use fiction to reflect world, you reflect world with another possible reality, plus your personal, carefully inspection of your surrounding. If you have strength, you have weakness. When life take everything away from you, your weak self will be visible. That's when each and every action you took in life, include all relationship you have made, will be what you have left. You thought you can use some help, but then you realize life is never fair. You are left alone. Your acquaintance ignore you. Your dear one isn't reliable. Justice is blurred as wrongdoing continue to plague like dirty water. And every goddamn thing is betraying you. In such a hopeless situation, you begin to ask yourself: "Am i the crazy one instead?" People interested because they see part of their life in this story, and sympathize with our poor man. Life gets more and more hellish as you grow up, because you got to see every aspect of it, and truth is always harsh. KZbin is an entertainment platform, where content creator's purpose is to provide something worth watching. How much viewer care about you? How long it takes for them to forget about you? What will you have left when you leave internet?. So isn't internet a hell too? So... is it about people after all? May you meet someone special who accept everything of you. Be it a community, a few, or just 1 man only in this large world. You are alone, but at same time people like you are still getting through their life. Being able to stand on their own doesn't mean they are strong. But one thing for sure, they have motivation. - Sorry for taking too much of your time. Honestly, I'm new to this channel, and after watching this series I have some doubts about it... what I just saw at the end is some kind of "psychological test"? my english is not very good the truth But I think I understand some parts and I'm not sure if this means that the owner of this channel was the victim of some "descending spiral of mental degradation"... I don't know, maybe just this Adding too much fuel to the fire... Sorry I had to miss the premier since I was at my job, but my god, that message at the end. I can see how a lot of mods are just generic VN’s and misses the point of DDLC. Hell, I’m willing to admit that some of my mods on my channel may fall into that category. The message actually made me stop and think about if I should continue to make mods. But I think I will continue for now and finish up any series I have going on until my next idea pops in my head 100+ years later. XD I barely have any mods on my channel because I struggle to come up with ideas that will make people want to watch, and I also don’t want to have generic ideas either (as the message explains). I mainly make DDLC mods as a hobby and have never bothered to monetize my channel. Personally, I actually don't mind that style of Mods, as long as they are correctly written. They definitely aren't my passion, (I tried Mods like Blue Skies and similars and couldn't finish them 'cause I don't find them engaging), but Purist, for instance, could fall into that category and it may be my favorite Mod the community had to offer, from the ones I played. It's the massive amount of crappy, cheap and uninspired sexual or suggestive content, the obvious immaturity and the unhealthy obsession some people have with the characters what makes me dislike being involved in the DDLC Community and ""Dokitubers"". It's tiresome to see. It's really sad to see how such a good game has such downright bad fan content, for the most part. In which, I'm obviously included. Because I'm completely aware that I'm not the best apple in the box either. Anyway, thanks for your words. I hope your mental health improves. Take care too!

You are one of my biggest inspirations to creating mods, and seeing the message at the end of this video made me think long and hard today about what ideas I could come up with in a series I currently have going on. Probably wasn’t the best thing to do because I needed to hear the message at the end, and was feeling like giving up modding for good, but as soon as I came up with the idea, I instantly felt better about my modding abilities (story-telling wise, I know how to code them) and felt much better overall. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t watched this video, but I’m super thankful that I did. So thank you (again) for being such a huge inspiration on me! I think I’ll take this weekend to relax and play my favorite trucking games.

So my guess is that the ending means one of two things...... either 1. Everything that happened in this mod was all a bad dream that the MC had ..... or possibility 2. Reality was warped to make everything normal in a reality where Natsuki never met the MC before but the MC remembers her and everything that happened in the last Reality..... which one sounds more probable
