What Version of Vaxis have you used that you said Teradek is better. Am about to buy a Vaxis Storm 3000DV Zero Delay. It's not cheap it cost $5,831 I heard all good things about Vaxis and constant Signals where Teradek dropped signals, so please let me know. Thanks

This was the Vaxis Atom 500. Super budget at $350. I should have clarified, never had any experience with their more expensive systems, but I would hope for over $5K it's a solid experience! After owning this Teradek system for over a year, we have yet to experience any dropout, delay, or image quality loss. I've also used DJI's Transmission system on a shoot this year and we had constant issues with glitchy noise in the signal even though we were under 50ft away.

I guess they're not really much cheaper - I stand corrected! I guess I assumed they were cheap because of the name and I always see them on B&H DealZone, so I just associated them with cheaper brands.

Does this device work while being powered. i have a model that does not work while being charged.

What do you mean while being charged? These do not have internal batteries, so they cannot be charged - only powered. And yes, they work while being powered as that's the only way to make them work!

Would've liked to have seen what's in those menus and a field test. Can you switch between 2.4, 5, and 6ghz? Does 6ghz range drop off?

I would probably go with a beefier system for this - with all the interference you may need a signal amplifier and longer-range systems. I used them at a live concert once, and as long as we maintained line-of-sight we were great, but that was a smaller venue I'd imagine.

I can’t seem to get it to work any tips? Do I need the teradek monitor for this to work? I’m confused all the time it says it’s connecting but when it try’s to send the video it just stops

You don't need a Teradek monitor - but you need a monitor that accepts a 4K video signal if you're transmitting 4K. Otherwise, you have to set your camera's HDMI output resolution to 1080p. We have a monitor that does not accept 4K so it will just be black unless we set the camera output to 1080p.

@@LadyShayD Sorry for the late response, but this is correct. The transmitter will analyze the resolution and frame rate being SENT through HDMI from the camera, and will transmit that resolution. If you are outputting 4K from camera (It will show this on the display on the Teradek) it will output 4K from the receiver, which some monitors cannot accept.
