Glue or tape removal and cleaning of front hairline on system

Shouldn’t you be using alcohol rather than soap to remove glue? In quarantine, and that is what I was told to use. I ordered a bottle from stylist, but will take a week to get here. So far just used shampoo, but some glue tough to remove. I do have 3M Avagard which has 61% ethyl alcohol, and a box of alcohol prep pads that contain 70% ethyl alcohol. Also have scented Dawn soap detergent. I was told not to use shampoo but to use dish soap to clean the system once removed. Any advice appreciated!
