This is the 3rd tutorial I've viewed of yours and I must tell you that I appreciate the defined details you give. For example, regarding the difference of cake consistency using the amount of apples, that's beneficial information. This detailed information sets your tutorials apart from some others I'm subscribed to.

I just made this! Made my own flour, (ran out of premade) used butter, maple syrup instead of honey (didn’t have any), macerated the Granny Smith apple pieces in apple cider and lemon! Yum!!! Super easy and moist. Next time I think I will also add dried cranberries for an added holiday flavor. Thank you so much!

I made this recipe this afternoon, and it is delicious!!! Not too sweet, but just enough to still have a decadent flare to it. Soft, light, fluffy, and apple-y goodness. I will definitely make this again. My family approves as well.

Just took the pan from the oven.....The aroma is wafting through the house! 🍎🍎 I used 2 apples, peeled. Cooked lightly in butter. No ginger, did sprinkle a bit of turbinado sugar on top. Soon, I will be brewing a hot cup o' coffee to go with. ☕

Hi and thank you for sharing this recipe. I've been Paleo for three years and once in a while, I like to "go crazy". I had a girlfriend over and from prep to finish in less than an hour the cake was done, however it took less time than that for her to devour the cake. She said it tasted so "buttery and candied". After having a piece myself, I would concur.Bravo!

The cake was quite dense and a bit dry. It's good with some almond milk poored over it though! P.S. Made it with cranberries instead of apples, and it tastes great! I don't that's why it turned out the way it did, my batter was like cookie dough almost.
@CleanandDeliciousDani10 жыл бұрын
pelephantzoo I might try adding a little more liquid next time - just a couple tablespoons. I also wonder if the apple doesn't help to add moisture when it cooking since it has pretty high water content. hmmmmm

@CleanandDeliciousDani10 жыл бұрын
SUSAN FERNANDO I wish I did but I'm not sure (still learning of all these alternatives flours myself). Coconut flour is an option but you would have to adjust the liquid in the recipe. Any other readers out there who can help Susan??
@Justaz10 жыл бұрын
***** Bob's Red Mill has a gluten free all purpose flour that would likely work well with this recipe as would GF Bisquick mix. You may need to adjust your leavening agents; many gf flour blends include baking powder. If you want to mix your own, I would try a 1 to 1 mix of white rice flour and brown rice flour and a small portion of potato flour. You would need to find the right mix of the three. Great video, Dani. Thanks for sharing this.
