I really want to use peaches and/or rhubarb with the blueberries! I find ginger can be overpowering to me so if I do add it it will probably be to the crisp topping rather than the fruit i think. This is a great recipe!

Love your channel, so many gorgeous recipes. I'd like to see info/recipes on cooking beans and whole grains in a crock pot. Both separate and together. And like different beans with different whole grains. Do you soak them (both) before putting them in the crock pot? I recently cooked whole rye berries, soaked them first and then put in the crockpot. They seemed okay, but wondering if it was necessary to soak them first.

Dani, I made this for a potluck and it was amazing. If I were to freeze this recipe, would you recommend freezing it before or after baking it? Do you think the topping would hold up to freezing and not get soggy?

I am not gonna use any granulated sugars. Will use maple syrup or agave over top of the fruit mix, instead. And will sub chopped cashew or pumpkin seeds vs nuts.
