I've watched a lot of your videos over the past few weeks. There are a lot of healthcare professionals on KZbin who sound like they did a quick literature review immediately before filming. You, Dr Osborne, sound like you could talk at depth, extemporaneously, on anything, like an experienced clinician who's seen it all, done his research, and has no need to brush up or check your notes. I'm thoroughly impressed and would absolutely trust you with my healthcare over any other doctor I've seen.

My hair has become so thin it’s like down feathers and my fingernails are curling downward. Went to see my PCP and he was dismissive saying I’m getting older and for my nails he said just to cut them short. This change has only been noticeable within this last year. Been searching internet for some kind of toxicity, deficiency or absorption issue. My brilliant doctor’s attitude and response was completely unacceptable. I’m not on any meds no do I indulge in alcohol. Been doing keto and IF nearly 4 years & I do take supplements.

Eat more red meat and saturated fat. When you isolate vitamins, especially when part of a complex like B vitamins are, you create an imbalance of the other B"s. Always eat whole foods, whenever possible, in lieu of supplements. I'd also work on gut issues to see why you're malabsorbing, maybe take Dr. O's soil based probiotics. If you're eating dirty keto, with all those fake sugars, they block nutrient absorption, and wreak havoc in the gut. Go high-fat carnivore, and see where that leads. Most people start with keto, hit a plateau healthwise, then level up with carnivore.

Does your doctor run a blood test panel every year? It helps discover nutritional deficiencies & diagnose things like low thyroid function. If not, find a Functional Medicine Doctor asap!!! Something is definitely wrong! It could be low estrogen, thyroid, stress or ? Try improving your diet, it could be the maim answer! I eliminated sugars, refined carbs and processed foods, while increasing meat consumption recently, as in Keto/Carnivore. 👍🏻 My hair loss improved as well as having less aches and pains from Fibromyalgia and Arthritis while my energy increased exponentially! Give it a go and see your health improve dramatically!

I'm starting from scratch... on Levo for 20 yrs.. bouncing from 125 mcg to 100 mcg and back and forth.. and now on 50 mcg for about 3 weeks...l-o-w energy... going for retest in about 3 weeks to see how this dosage is working...TSH is all she (PCP) does... I'm on a mission to get off of levo if at all possible but I want to be strategic...step 1 step 2.... sounds like getting T3 and T4 tested is where I start...yes? no?...I never thought to dig deeper and my doctors (all PCPs) who have monitored my thyroid have never suggested going deeper... thanks Dr Osborne!

I have Hashimoto’s. I had been eating low-carb and avoiding dairy. I was losing eight (very difficult) and using photobiomodulation therapy at home as well. I had been exercising and hitting HUGE hypo style crashes. I decided to do my own testing on this. I worked out within 1 1/2 hrs of getting a full thyroid panel (bloodwork). Sure enough, my TSH jumped up and my T3 crashed and was (for the very first time ever) flagged. I told my doc who didn’t believe this is possible. She attributed this to not enough levothyroxine and upped the amount from 50 to 75mcg. Well, I CRASHED for the entire week I was on the higher dose. I did not have hyper symptoms. I had huge HYPO type symptoms. I stopped for one day taking anything and felt AMAZING. My point are these: 1. Exercise and other stress can temporarily change the TSH and T3 levels. So doctors not asking even believing this is possible may be prescribing incorrect amounts of medication. 2. You can have hypothyroid-like symptoms when being overdosed with thyroid medication.

You are Great Doctor! I took Levothyroxine over 37 years and recently tapered off . It has been off for 160 days and now my TSH is 13.100 ulU/mL and T3, T4 normal range, with low Iodine & Cortisol. My PTO is 221 too high antibody. I used liquid Iodine drops ( bingo that increased TSH) . I also used 5000 Fluoride toothpaste. I have all insomnia, dizzy, brain fog etc.. Do I need to go back to meds or should I give my thyroid a chance to produce by itself? I say I feel about the same with or without taking medications I have same symptoms. Thank you so much Dr. Osborne! Please help!

Dr Osborne! I was told by my doctor that my estrogen level is a bit low, and she wants me to go to see an encronologist! I am suprised that she did not refered me to see a gynecologist because I think I my need some kind of hormone treatments because I had a complete hystetectomy. Can you tell me what I can do to bring it back up. Like what I should eat or change in my diet. I think that I eat a little healthy. I have already cut out all sugars, rice and breads. I eat some sweet potatoes on special occasions. My doctor also said I had diabetes but I do not have any of the symptoms of it. I am rely scared and confused. Thankyou in advance!

Have you had a Dutch test which can check how your body processes Estrogen as your gut can recirculate toxic estrogens. There are Xeno estrogens which are toxic estrogens that mimic Estrogen. They can be in skincare, cleaners, wash powder etc. They can interfere with your body using Estrogen. After hysterectomy I think your body is stressed because of loss of hormones. Your adrenals will take over from your ovaries and if they are processing stress or not functioning they won’t prioritise making hormones

My wife is having thyroid issues her TSH was 4.98. She is on a small dose of lyvothyroxin T3 is normal with meds T4 was close to low. After listening to Gary Brecka on Joe Rogan he mentions that T3 is converted in the gut probably more accurately the liver. How can I stimulate more T4 and ensure conversion so my wife can get off her meds. We eat a balanced diet and don’t drink but I am concerned about her liver and think it could be a weak link. Do I stimulate it with bitter foods or is it just the right combo of b vitamins.
