hi there,.. yes they are doing the same, but they are also doing different things due to their insertions which are in different places,.. also when different fiber portions within a muscle are contracted they cause the muscle to rotate in different directions,.. I hope this make sense,.. please remember muscles are not a binary units; they can also be switched on and off or have different amount of tension in different parts. If you want to feel this just flex your biceps twist your hand,.. 💪 you will feel how different parts of the biceps will contract while others release in order to make this movement happen. cheers alex
