For me....I felt the glycerin blocked my hair from absorbing moisture...my hair loves water.... I use "Yannie the Locologist"s method......misting the hair with rose water and vitamin E oil in a bottle and jam black castor to the scalp.

Ive been hearing ALOT about rose water and vitamin E oil I just have yet to try them. But that's interesting that the glycerin blocks your moisture absorption. My hair loves any and all types of moisture. Oils, water, lotions, and potions. Some stuff is just getting harder to was out

Used the vegetable glycerin today my hair said hello, hello. Felt so good hopefully, vegetable glycerin will do well on my 10 months loc journey. I've used the almond oil. A good oil for my hair. So for me yes it was good.

I go longer between my washes too. I wash a little more frequently in the summer (sweat and all that, lol.) But I also will just water wash my hair in the summer too :)

Mood Fam true a good rinse and go could be refreshing in between washes. I never thought of that. But I will be giving it a go as soon as...tomorrow lol

Interesting. Does glycerin wash out easy? Just wondering because the viscosity looks slightly sticky.

Umm I did have to do another round of washing than I normally did. But it about the same as putting extra oil in you hair. If that makes sense

Peace queen! What made you want to start washing your hair less? Also tried sweet almond oil once and had an allergic reaction on my scalp. Call me Sensative Sally!

Yemoja Renée lol ok Sally . but I'm just trying to if my hair and scalp still maintain its strength and luster . I also noticed that my wash days were becoming a bit of a challenge. Maybe due to dried u up product or maybe because of my hair getting longer and denser but my arms were wearing out a lot faster. So I figured a little experiment would help.
