Hello! I'm new here. Enjoyed the video. I've never heard of the rubberband method. What is the purpose of this? Im newly locced, so learning so much in this journey. Would the rubberbands not thin the hair at the roots? How long are the rubberbands supposed to stay in? Thank you for sharing in advance!

They don't thin my roots, but I have really thick hair. Keeping your roots moisturizer loosens the bands. And don't tie them super tight. Just tight enough to hold your roots in place

@@VeganLocsI just added rubber bands to my locs today after I found your channel. I added them to my daughter’s as well. What made you start putting rubber bands on the root of your locs? What were you hoping to achieve?

@rnpbrooks omg! I bet they're cute! I did it after I found a guy named Dadz life on here and i wanted then to be thick, low maintenance, but not full-on free form. And honestly, i got what i was looking for lol

Loved video ! I have wicks so i do the rubberband method ! I was doing 1 month on and 1 month off! Do u feel like crazy tension on your head from rubber bands gathering your hair after like two weeks? I dont even loopy loop i just use the small rubber bands and put it in the base without any twist....they are that kind of size ..i spray every morning with herbal tea i make with rosemary which is the base it changes every week with sage or mint... rosemary is suppose to be better than your your counter hair growth formula..i use to use oil but it made my locs heavy and makes me break out with weight training! My hair is fluffy without the oil now

Thank you! No I don't feel any tension, unless i loop them too tight. But mine might be a bit smaller than your wicks. I've never used herbal water blends. That sounds beneficial! I love oil, and so do my skin. So it works for me. May try some herbal water next though 🫶🏾

Wouldn't oil, or a spray bottle work better. Water dries hair out. But I guess she know what she doing.
