Mind blowing how good the Boss Micro BR and Micro BR-80 are and all they can do.

I agree! They're great units, just a few drawbacks but undeniably great fun, which is rare for the recording side of things :)

Great work. I've had my BR for years and you've shown me a few things I didn't even know existed on the machine. It would be great if you could make a video about using Bounce mode though - it's the one thing about the box that I really can't get my head around!

Hmm I can’t remember how to do that now, I made this video so long ago and I no longer have this unit. Might be time for me to grab another one, they’re really cool 😎

The last two buttons were for protect (the song) and MOST importantly OPT. That’s optimize. That erases all the dubs and takes you’re not using and erases them to give you more room.
@gearfacts Жыл бұрын
Ahhh yes, Optmize - a Boss innovation from the 90's as I recall. Forgot about that one.

Yeah I think 2GB is max. You got a bargain there :)

Thanks for the great tutorial. Can the device also work as a looper?
@gearfacts4 жыл бұрын
Kind of. You could record a phrase and then copy it so that it played any number of times. There'd be a definite end somewhere though, and you couldn't add more loopy tracks on the fly. So it'd only really do half the job :) #gearfacts

Great video 👍 actually best so far but why can't I hear a track I have recorded on in order to record the solo at the same time please I have read the manual but can't find the explanation.. it's crazy and driving me nuts.ty

Hmm, I don't know... track output levels all up? No muting of any tracks? Ummm what else... Recorder armed to record on a different track to the playback track? I'm out of ideas sorry!

How do you reformat the SD card within the device? Mine shows "Unsupported Format"
@kierenmoore3236 Жыл бұрын
Was the capacity of the SD card the problem? The OG can only recognise up to 2GB card, with the latest update. Otherwise, it only recognises 1GB cards, I believe … ?

How does one export the file? I would really like to email the results to a friend
@gearfacts Жыл бұрын
You have to download the communications software from Boss. It's really old software, but it works. It's called BR Wav Converter, here's the link: www.boss.info/us/support/by_product/micro_br/updates_drivers/c30fd33d-3064-484d-b896-1bdc4f9e6e70/

The problem that I find myself having while using the device, is the metronome. I remember hearing the metronome, when listening to the record. Is there a way to disable that while having the metronome as you record your track? Because you do not want to have the metronome in your original sound file. And the second issue is, I record my riff nice and all, but sometimes I notice that I am rushing or dragging with respect to the original BPM. So I am in this weird spot, where I am in the middle of the song that I do not want to record from the beginning. Can you have a workaround? Maybe with Utility -> TRK ? Thanks Gearfacts!
@gearfacts6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can definitely switch off the metronome. I think under UTILITY you can toggle metronome on/off. Gearfacts

Sir what is the adpater for this ?
@gearfacts4 жыл бұрын
Same as guitar a pedal adapter. 9 volt DC, centre negative. I recommend buying a multi-purpose adapter from an electronics store, they are better and usually cheaper. Please share GEARFACTS :)

@@gearfacts Respected sir,The Roland(boss)company suggests hos PSA 120s adapter .It is very expensive. Sir I don't know about pedal adapter .I am Not a guitarist .I bought Micro Br-80 for recording audio.But i am struggling with that with no adapter.
@gearfacts4 жыл бұрын
@@tamililakanam3753 PSA-120s is just a fancy name for a regular 9 volt power adapter. Trust me, it is good to have a DC multi-adapter. You can switch the voltage to whatever you need, and they also come with a selection of pins so you can power just about anything in your studio :)
