My chevy dealer tells me that my 2016 chevy silverado 1500 4.3 v6 cannot be updated to allow for "projection" or "weather" app. All other models for the same year DO have the update. I'm really just looking for navigation from my phone(android) to my truck. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks for doing this video, I have a 2020 3500 LTZ and I cant get the radio to not turn on when I start the vehicle. I've tried holding the button down and it turns off the main screen and then I hit the home button to turn the screen on and the radio always comes on too.

dont know many that listen to fm radio? i dont know any that use rip off sirius nor onstar for that matter. some gm vehicles wont update OTA even if you do have wifi etc

Please don't perpetuate the misnomer that no one listens to radio. Across all demographics, Nielsen demonstrates that radio is still the most popular form of media in America. Radio reaches 90% of adults aged 18-34, 94% aged 35-49 and 91% aged 50 and older.

I would strongly recommend NOT buying a Chevy with the Infotainment 3 system. Full of bugs IMO, android auto fails to connect 50% of the time, blue tooth fails to auto-connect constantly. Navigation voice search fails to find your destination on the first try 75% so far. Seriously, after 5 months, I'm considering trading in to get away from this garbage system. Chevy has failed us on this one.

@@techexamined the only time you would have to charge that much is on a road trip, and you'd want to take a break when stopping for charging anyway. I dont see much problem in that

Because I don’t need a 40 minute break every time I need to charge... not to mention the last trip I took didn’t have chargers nearby so it would have been useless. I have been researching this for a while now.. it’s just not worth it.. 🤷‍♂️... I just took a trip to Virginia.. 300 ish miles.. been driving around for a couple days now.. Gonna get about 450 miles out of this tank.. I’ll fill up in 3-5 minutes at a Wawa grab some snacks when we leave Sat and I didn’t have to drive 30 minutes out of my way to sit at a Tesla Supercharger for 30 more minutes... or find a “destination” charger which could be free or charge me or I have to be staying at the location.. that is too much work..
