Big brands are such not much because of their expertise, but robust procurement and manufacturing, also strong financial backing. Each company mentioned can - if not overthrow the big players - strongly shake up the bike market. Yet they choose to keep it as a side hobby type of project. So let them test the waters to remind us what shallow puddle we are actually in.

I'm absolutely stoked about getting my fingers in the new AMFLOW/DJI mountain bike! My old Trek Fuel EX 5 has been patched up so many times, it's practically on its last ride. But guess what? The AMFLOW/DJI has just entered the scene, and it's got me totally hyped! I'm convinced that this is the bike of my dreams, and I can't wait to get my hands on it! By the way, I recently completed the last 35 km with a flat tire using the Victoria airliner inside. I encountered no issues at all. My average speed on the bike lane heading home was 16 km/h.

This is a phenomenal step for DJI. Where some see "just another bike in the market" no. This is pushing eMTB to where it should have been 3 years ago but the big OEMs not only don't have this experience or coding abilities (software or hardware), but they chose to milk the market through covid. Put it this way: DJI have to pivot. GoPro didn't and they got left in the dust by Insta. Insta is now being surpassed by other companies and cheaper. Auto power selection, hill hold assist - this is the future. DJI is choosing to pivot instead of die on the vine and I for one welcome new entrants, especially when they push the market ahead.

Does it have nanobots that will clean my bike after my ride? What about obstacle avoidance sensors so there's no chance I'll ever wrap myself around a tree again? Does it come with a lid that links me to the bike like the Borg, such that every conceivable setting on the bike is adjusted to my weight and skill level? If not, I'll just go ahead and spend the same money on the van I need to lug my (analogue) MTBs around. That said, if it can do what Elliott's BMX did in ET, I'm getting one. No, I'll get two so they can talk to each other in the garage when I'm not around.

I like the concept of using your phone for any kind of screen on an ebike. I prefer the bitke itself to not have and not need any kind of screen just some basic led for key information like which ride mode you are in and what the battery level is. I don't want a giant screen on my bike all the time that can be damaged nor do I want a tiny screen that needs complex menus. It's easy enough to use a phone mount or some other GPS mount etc. if I need that kind of functionality then pop it off when I don't.

So then "eMTB rated" actually becomes a thing rather than a marketing gimmick. Why gimmick? Because bikes and bike components have been able to handle 300lb+ riders for decades now. Nothing about an ebike makes stressors on the components "MOAR" save for the chain maybe... But guess what we've had motorcycles for a hundred years. There are chains that exist that can handle these "unprecedented" torque loads. 🙄

No thanks. I don’t want a bike with hundreds of sensors telling me what’s wrong with the bike. That’s hundreds of sensors that need servicing. I say hundreds because the bike needs to be able to tell me if bearing number 4 on my rocker needs replacing. If it can’t then the whole idea of a bike diagnosing itself is completely pointless. Great show guys

The average price for a car here in America is $48,000 or 36,000 pounds ish. Please don’t do this to our bikes with a bunch of tech that nobody really needs. I use my bike to escape that world not add to it. Love the show you guys are awesome 🤩

It's DJI. It will revolutionize the industry while simultaneously destroying it... Anna you're gorgeous 😍 You're converting this bmxer into a mountain biker wannabe.

You will never see anybody but a pro using flight attendant. Anything that changes based on the bump you’re already going over is changing too late. When something can predict what’s coming in front of you or see the trailer in front of you and then make it then it’ll work. And until then, it’s nothing but a bunch of fucking expensive garbage.
